Here are Metro’s Top Picks from Manila FAME 2026 for Fashion and Design Lovers
From thoughtfully crafted furniture to fashion shaped by Filipino textile innovation, the 74th edition of Manila FAME offers plenty to discover. Running from October 15–17 at the World Trade Center, the trade exhibition brings together makers across furniture, fashion, and lifestyle, connecting the country’s artists with an international network of buyers.

Guided by the theme Bloom, this year’s showcase puts handmade work at the center of the conversation. In an era defined by mass production and the increasing use of AI, the value of design lies not only in the finished product but also in the knowledge, materials, and skilled labor behind it.
This is where Manila FAME’s Think Global, Act Local campaign takes on meaning. In furniture, the appeal extends beyond form. Material selection, joinery, texture, and proportion determine how a piece functions and ages. In fashion, textile innovation and construction give heritage techniques a place in modern dressing without reducing them to decoration.

The exhibition’s fashion program makes this exchange especially visible. For the first time, Manila FAME presents work from FASHIONPhilippines in Milan and New York, initiatives that prepare Filipino designers for international markets through mentorship, brand development, and industry connections. The Milan program also integrates Filipino Innovation Textiles into collections, linking local textile capabilities with global fashion discourse.
