‘Los Salvajes Bravos’ actor Arnold Reyes ‘incredibly grateful’ for MMFF inclusion

Award-winning Filipino actor Arnold Reyes is overwhelmed with gratitude as he celebrates two major milestones in his career: his upcoming recognition at the 16th annual The Outstanding Filipino Awards (TOFA) and the addition of their historical drama film, “Los Salvajes Bravos,” to the official lineup of the 2026 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

For Reyes, these blessings are more than just professional accomplishments. They are meaningful reminders of how far he has come in his acting career and how his hard work continues to lead to exciting opportunities.

“I’m incredibly grateful for all the wonderful things happening in my career right now. We have a film included in the MMFF, and now I’m also receiving recognition from TOFA. These are such tremendous blessings for me. What a wonderful Christmas gift,” Reyes said.

Reyes is one of the distinguished individuals who will be honored at the 16th Annual TOFA, which honors exceptional Filipinos whose achievements have had a significant impact both in the Philippines and on a global scale.

The event, scheduled for October 24 in Jacksonville, Florida, will bring together some of the most accomplished Pinoy artists and personalities from various fields.

“I get goosebumps just thinking about it,” he said, expressing his excitement over being included in a roster of awardees featuring some of the Philippines’ most respected names in entertainment and the arts.

Among the honorees are Apl.de.Ap, OPM legend Kuh Ledesma, and Megastar Sharon Cuneta. Filipino fashion designer Veejay Floresca, who has garnered international recognition for her achievements in the fashion industry, including her involvement in “Project Runway,” is also receiving recognition. The evening will also feature Boy Abunda as the celebration’s resident host.

Reyes is even more excited for his MMFF 2026 entry, which is a historical drama produced by Jesuit Communications Inc. (JesCom Films) and directed by Paolo Dy.

The film, which is set to open in cinemas nationwide on December 25, stars Ruru Madrid and Romnick Sarmenta, with Reyes among the actors bringing the story to life.

In addition, he expressed gratitude for the opportunity to participate in a production that will be shown at one of the most important Philippine film festivals.

With the TOFA recognition and MMFF entry arriving almost simultaneously, he has plenty of reasons to celebrate as the year comes to an end.

For an actor who has consistently dedicated himself to theater, independent films, and television, these milestones serve as both recognition of his past work and encouragement to reach even greater heights in the future.
