PAL launches sale for business class, premium economy seats

MANILA — Philippine Airlines (PAL) is launching a sale on business class and premium economy seats.

From October 19 to 25, passengers can get up to 60 percent off business class and premium economy seats on selected domestic and international flights.

For domestic bookings, tourists may also pay in installments–with no interest–through participating credit card partners with a minimum transaction of P40,000.

In premium economy, passengers get bigger, wider seats with a deeper recline and more legroom. They also get gourmet meals, amenities like blankets and pillows, in-flight WiFi, and in-flight entertainment.

In business class, meanwhile, passengers can get a seat that converts into a fully flat bed on selected flights, and the perks already available in premium economy.

PAL said fares and available routes will be announced when the sale opens on October 19.

In July, PAL signed a memorandum of Understanding with Boeing to acquire up to 20 widebody 787-10 Dreamliners.

The flag carrier also bought new Rolls-Royce engines for the 9 new long-haul planes it bought from Airbus.
