Need a good laugh? Watch Pepay’s hilarious ‘hirits’ on “Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal”

Every batch of Lucky Stars on “Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal” needs a resident comedian (or two!) to keep things extra entertaining. After all, with all the nerve-racking moments in the game, a little comic relief is always welcome, right? 

This season, Pepay is one of the Lucky Stars making us giggle. With his brand of humor delivered through little side comments and playful remarks, he really knows how to send everyone into a laughing fit. 

If you enjoy his hilarious antics, Kapamilya Toplist rounded up some of his funniest moments on the show. 

Pepay doesn’t need elaborate punchlines to make everyone LOL. Case in point: the first clip in this compilation, where he protested that he was just minding his own business, only to get dragged into the company of the “ugly” ones when he was called onstage to join fellow comedian Beki Velo or Doc Beki for a dance showdown.  

Pepay also doesn’t mind poking fun at himself, like when the show revealed his throwback photo. “Pamilyar,” he reacted, before joking, “Ultimo nanay ko hindi na ako nakilala, eh,” referring to his jaw-dropping glow-up.  

Remember when he ruined Emilio Daez’s chances of taking home the ₱1 million prize? Pepay explained that he was hoping Emilio would feel the connection between them. But since that didn’t happen, he joked that maybe he should just end up with Joyang instead. 

When it was his turn to play, Pepay promised he wouldn’t make the same mistakes as a certain friend who proved to be “hindi katalinuhan” and lacked strategy. Dared by host Luis Manzano to name that friend, he mentioned Negi, and then joked that Negi’s poor judgment makes him fall for the wrong guys. “Binigyan niya ng bahay ang jowa, siya ngayon ang nangungupahan,” he quipped.  

We really love how he doesn’t hold back from exposing his friends. There was an episode where he spilled that Negi is so generous that he’d even pay for the baptism of a child who isn’t even his own. Negi fired back and teased that they actually looked alike back in the day, which made Pepay comment that he may have been ugly back then but not Negi-level ugly. 

Pepay didn’t back down from Divine Tetay either when they fought over Lucky Star Mauro Lumba. “Bakit pinipilit mong sa’yo?” he fired at  Tetay. But their friendship prevailed in the end when they decided that maybe they could just share the man.  

You’d think Pepay would have an easy time picking a potential ‘special someone’ among Mauro, Migs Bugtos, Rave Victoria, and Jeffrey Santos, but nope, as if none of them met his standards. He thought Rave was too young and he’d have to spend a fortune on his education. Dating Migs would be risky because he might broadcast all the juicy details of their relationship. As for Mauro, Pepay worried that the hunk might literally toss him around. And then he joked that Jeffrey’s kisses might taste bitter because of his maintenance medication. Haha!
