Over P6-M worth of heroin, marijuana seized in Cavite buy-bust

Government anti-narcotics operatives confiscated on Wednesday, Sept. 13, around P6.24 million worth of heroin and dried marijuana following the arrest of two perople in a a buy-bust operation in Imus, Cavite.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) disclosed that Enuka John Chukwuemeka and Christopher Nwabufo were arrested at around 4;05 p.m. at the main entrance of a mall in Tanzang Luma 5.

When interrogated by authorities, the PDEA noted that Chukwuemeka refused to cooperate.

During the operation, authorities seized more or less 40 grams of heroin worth P240,000 that were for sale, more or less one kilogram of heroin worth P6,000,000 in their possession, 15 grams of dried marijuana leaves worth P1,800, two cellular phones, one identification card and one genuine P1,000 bill on top of bill-sized paper cuts.

Chukwuemeka and Nwabufo face charges for violation of Section 5 in relation to Section 26 paragraph B (Attempt or Conspiracy to Sell Dangerous Drugs)  and Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 otherwise known as “The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.’’

The operation was conducted by the PDEA, Philippine National Police (PNP) and the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
