MANILA — Filipino producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Ziv has teamed up with rising P-pop girl group VVINK for “Trisikulo,” a song about the experience of being the third wheel in someone else’s love story.

Released by Sony Music Entertainment, the track uses wordplay inspired by the three wheels of a tricycle to explore loneliness, friendship and the desire for companionship as people around you find love.

The single follows Ziv’s previous releases, “Kuryente” and “Walkie Talkie,” and combines upbeat melodies with lyrics drawn from his own experiences.

“I wanted to write about something that genuinely reflects where I am in life right now,” Ziv said in a press release. “It’s funny because it’s genuinely what’s happening in my life, but at the same time, I realized there aren’t that many songs that talk about the experience of being a third wheel.”

Rather than take a melancholic approach, Ziv gives the subject an energetic pop treatment. The production draws on elements of Japanese pop and rock, K-pop and original Pilipino music, reflecting his varied musical influences.

The collaboration also gives VVINK an opportunity to showcase its versatility as the group continues to build its presence in the P-pop scene.

VVINK won Best Novelty Recording at the 39th Awit Awards and Pop Song of the Year at the 2026 Filipino Music Awards for “Baduy,” its collaboration with DJ Love and Pio Balbuena. The group is also part of Spotify RADAR 2026.

The group said it quickly developed a rapport with Ziv during the collaboration.

“One thing that surprised us was how quickly we clicked. We became comfortable working with each other almost immediately, and everything flowed so smoothly that the creative process felt almost effortless,” VVINK said.

“Trisikulo” was co-written by Ziv, Paolo Benjamin Guico of folk-pop band Ben&Ben, and Angelika Samantha Ortiz, one of the songwriters behind BINI’s “Pantropiko.” Ziv also produced the track, with mixing by Jacques Jenkins and mastering by Luna Tebbs.

The song is available on digital music platforms worldwide through Sony Music Entertainment. An official music video is also in the works and will be released on Ziv and VVINK’s respective YouTube channels.
