Dina Bonnevie expresses admiration for son-in-law Marc Pingris: ‘Ipinagmamalaki kita’

Dina Bonnevie expressed her love and appreciation for son-in-law Marc Pingris, commending him for being a good person and and a devoted family man despite the challenges he has faced in life. 

In an Instagram post on October 16, Dina shared a lengthy birthday message for Marc, who is married to her daughter, Danica Sotto-Pingris.  

Beyond greeting him on his special day, the actress took the opportunity to recognize his perseverance, kindness, and commitment to the people he loves. 

“Hi, Marc! Gusto kong muling magpasalamat sa iyo, hindi lamang sa pagiging mabuting asawa ng anak ko at mapagmahal na ama ng aking mga apo, kundi higit sa lahat, sa pagiging mabuting tao mo,” she began.  

The celebrity mom acknowledged that Marc had gone through various hardships and setbacks, including difficult experiences with people who had taken advantage of him. Despite these struggles, Dina said she admired his determination to keep moving forward.  

“Ngunit sa kabila ng lahat ng ito, hinahangaan kita dahil hindi ka sumuko. Patuloy kang bumabangon, lumalaban, at nagsisikap na makabangon muli. Hindi mo hinahayaang talunin ka ng mga pagsubok sa buhay, at patuloy mong ginagawa ang lahat para sa kinabukasan ng iyong pamilya,” she maintained.  

For Dina, one of the qualities that makes Marc worthy of admiration is the way he prioritizes his loved ones. She pointed to his care for his own mother, along with his dedication to his wife and children, as reflections of his character. 

She continued: “Malaki ang sinasabi nito tungkol sa iyong pagkatao. Busilak ang iyong puso, at kitang-kita ang pagmamahal at malasakit mo sa mga taong mahalaga sa iyo.” 

The actress also made it clear that she considers Marc more than just her son-in-law. In her message, she expressed how deeply she respects and loves him, placing him on the same level as her own children, Danica and Oyo Boy Sotto. 

“Ipinagmamalaki kita, Marc, hindi dahil wala kang pagkukulang o hindi ka nakararanas ng pagkatalo, kundi dahil sa kabila ng lahat ng iyong pinagdaanan, patuloy kang nagsisikap, nagmamahal, at pinipiling maging mabuting tao,” she continued.  

As Marc celebrated another year of life, Dina offered prayers for his continued strength, wisdom, good health, and peace. She also expressed her hope that he would eventually see the rewards of his hard work and that his past struggles would give way to greater blessings. 

Dina ended her message by reminding Marc that he has the love and support of his family, encouraging him to continue trusting in God and holding on to hope. 

“Happy Birthday, Marc! Patuloy kang magtiwala sa Diyos at huwag mawalan ng pag-asa. Tandaan mong hindi mo kailangang harapin ang lahat nang nag-iisa. Nandito kami, nagmamahal, sumusuporta, at nananalangin para sa iyo.” 

“Mahal na mahal ka namin, at ipinagpapasalamat namin sa Diyos ang buhay mo. Pagpalain ka pa Niya nang higit sa iyong inaasahan! ❤️🤗😊,” she ended.  

Danica and Marc began dating in 2005 before tying the knot in 2007. 

Apart from her good relationship with Marc, Dina has also shown a warm bond with her daughter-in-law, actress Kristine Hermosa, who is married to her son, Oyo Boy. 

Dina’s birthday tribute to Marc drew appreciation from netizens, with many commending the family for the closeness and affection they continue to show one another.
