Parokya ni Edgar, Sponge Cola to headline Halloween celebration in Boracay

BORACAY — Parokya ni Edgar and Sponge Cola will headline Hallowave 2026, a day-long Halloween celebration at Boracay Newcoast on October 31, featuring live music, family activities, food and outdoor adventures.

The event will begin before sunrise with a fun run and breakfast, followed by activities including ATV rides, e-foiling, a food bazaar, trick-or-treating and a family costume party. DJs Sofia Miguel and Tom Tuason are also scheduled to perform, with a pyromusical display and late-night rave rounding out the festivities.

“Hallowave brings people of all ages together for a full day of experiences at Boracay Newcoast,” said Maia Israel, area general manager of the destination’s hotel properties.

The event is organized around activities for families and groups of friends, with accommodation options at Belmont Hotel Boracay, Savoy Hotel Boracay and Chancellor Hotel Boracay.

The festivities begin at 5 a.m. with Hallowrun, followed by the Sunrise Big Breakfast at the Boracay Newcoast Convention Center at 6 a.m.

Guests can spend the morning exploring the destination, including ATV rides, visits to the Keyhole rock formation and e-foiling along the coast. Boogie Bounce, a fitness activity, is also among the scheduled attractions.

A food bazaar at Boracay Newcoast Beachwalk opens at 10 a.m. Guests can also dine at restaurants in the three hotels, including Belmont Café, Savoy Café and Chancellor Café.

Trick-or-treating and other children’s activities begin at 2 p.m. at the lobbies of Belmont Hotel Boracay, Savoy Hotel Boracay and Chancellor Hotel Boracay.

A Family Rave Costume Party follows at 4:30 p.m., featuring music and appearances by Super Rave Friends.

The evening concert begins at 8 p.m. at Boracay Newcoast Beachwalk, with Parokya ni Edgar and Sponge Cola headlining. DJ sets by Sofia Miguel and Tom Tuason, a pyromusical display and a late-night rave are also planned.

Guests can extend their visit through the Hallowave 2026 accommodation package, available at Belmont Hotel Boracay, Savoy Hotel Boracay and Chancellor Hotel Boracay. 

The package includes accommodation, the Sunrise Big Breakfast at the Boracay Newcoast Convention Center on October 31, priority access to the concert, admission to Hallowave events and activities, and use of hotel facilities. Guests also receive scheduled round-trip shuttle transfers between Boracay Newcoast and D’Mall.

Boracay Newcoast is in Barangay Yapak on the island’s eastern side. Travelers arriving from Caticlan can take the usual transfers to Boracay Island before continuing by land to the destination via e-trike or arranged hotel transfer.
