Angela Ken Proves It’s Her Time at ‘Panahon Na Natin’ Concert | One Music PH
After five years of releasing music, the time has finally come for Angela Ken as she performed at her sold-out, first solo concert, Panahon Na Natin, on Oct. 18 at the New Frontier Theater.
The night was intimately nostalgic, with a set that replicates a “magical bedroom,” which Angela said reflects the place where it all started, and interludes that feature flashback-like films of the singer-songwriter composing songs in her bedroom and playing them online for her growing audience.
“Nagsimula [ito] sa isang kwarto, sa isang kwarto na ako lang mag-isa, sinusulat ‘yung mga kantang akala ko ako lang din [ang] makakarinig,” she shared, expressing gratitude for the people in front of her, especially those who have never given up on her.
Angela‘s Angels, showing the bond that they formed with one another, made the event extra special with a fan project wherein they held up papers that say “Ikaw sa bawat panahon,” while she sang the title track of her EP “Panahon.”
Aside from playing tracks from the EP, the setlist also included a variety of covers. Kicking up the energy at the beginning of the concert was a medley of songs from international artists: Phil Collins‘ “You’ll Be In My Heart”, Billie Eilish‘s “Birds Of A Feather” and Selena Gomez‘s “Who Says.”
Angela also performed some OPM classics and favorites, such as “Bawat Daan” by Ebe Dancel, before bringing out original Imago vocalist Aia de Leon to sing “Sundo,” and Adie for “Paraluman.” Adie also sang Angela‘s “Alas Diyes” alongside her.
Fellow Tarsier Records artist Maki surprised the theater as he got up from his seat in the crowd to join Angela in performing their song “Sikulo.” The two previously performed the same song in 2025 for Maki‘s KOLORCOASTER concert. “Sa’yo ang 2026,” Maki fondly recalled telling Angela before.
Remembering to show appreciation for her significant other who has been with her through all the doubts and struggles she faced, Angela performed her latest single “tayo lang,” a song that was originally written in 2018 as a gift for her loved one.
Prior to Angela getting onstage, the audience was hyped by an all-women opening lineup, which includes Angia, a!ka and Mariah Deborah.
It wouldn’t have been a complete night if the blue-haired singer didn’t perform her hit song and crowd-favorite “baka bukas,” before emotionally closing the show with the anthem that kickstarted her career, her persistent biggest song “Ako Naman Muna.”
