Alongside her tribute, Ariana shared a series of photos, including snapshots from Coco’s 17th birthday celebration.
Beyond her love for Coco, Ariana has also been a longtime advocate for dog rescue and adoption.
In a 2015 interview with Billboard, the singer opened up about her passion for helping rescue dogs find loving homes.
“I got involved with dog rescues by simply loving animals. Dogs are the most harmless, sweetest babes in the world. They show nothing but unconditional love, so they deserve that in return,” she said.
She added: “My mission is to help as many homeless dogs as I can find loving families who will cherish them.”
Ariana also emphasized that she considers her dogs part of her family, sharing how meaningful it is for her to help others experience the same companionship.
“I love my dogs and I love my fans as if they were family, so introducing the two and knowing that I helped some of my fans to have a new, unconditionally loving friend in their life makes me very happy,” she remarked.
