Piolo Pascual invites actors to join 2026 Hybrid Games
As the excitement continues to build up for the upcoming Hybrid Games, Piolo Pascual, who is the director for Public Affairs for Aktor PH, talked about being part of this unique event which will have celebrities participate in the whole day event happening on November 8 in Space, One Ayala, in Makati City.
“The Hybrid Games is something that we wanted to be part of because it’s not just diversifying but creating a community that’s all inclusive, everyone can participate, and we have different categories so it’s not just all about competition. You can be a newbie. You just need to show up. You can support and cheer on the participants. We want this event to be celebratory. We want this to be something that people can talk about after. So I hope that this is the start of something that we can do every year to usher in of course, new talents, to welcome new people into the community, and to also participate and be active. Kasi importante yun eh,” he said.
Projected to have over 1,200 participants this year, Piolo admitted that it’s not enough to be a celebrity to be part of the Hybrid Games, participants must also be conditioned enough to take part in the various workout stations that they must go through in their chosen categories.
“It’s not just about aesthetics. You have to put in the hard work. You have to work out, you have to be agile, you have to do what you have to do. So the Hybrid Games, it’s just cardio and strength training, so hindi mo kailangan maging competitive. But it’s also important to have a competitive spirit,” he added.
More than just being a battle of the fittest, Piolo clarified that the Hybrid Games is a community-building event for their community, more than anything else. The talented actor hopes that the event will help bring the entertainment community closer, while encouraging people to get a start on living a healthier lifestyle.
“I guess the bottom line of this is we want to encourage everyone that being an actor, being in this community, is not all about exclusivity. We want to welcome people, not just those who are starting out in this business, those who have been around for so long. And for those new ones not to feel isolated. That’s why we’re here, because we want them to feel that you are in a community. We’re here to support you, to encourage you, to motivate you, and at the same time, for those that have been around for quite some time, to pass on the knowledge that you have, you know? And create experiences together. Na pag nagkasama kayo sa isang event, it opens doors for you to be friends, for you to be able to ask each other some questions that you don’t get to ask your co-workers. And we’re just so happy being a partner with Bench because sila yung standard talaga eh,” he explained.
