PMAP tackles AI, workforce expectations in landmark conference

MANILA — The impact of artificial intelligence, shifting workforce expectations, and organizational disruption are among the key topics when the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP) opens its 63rd Annual Conference at the Marriott Grand Ballroom on Wednesday.

The organization is celebrating a historic milestone, as 2026 marks its 70th year of advancing people excellence and leadership in the Philippines.

The three-day conference, which carries the theme “Powering the Next HR Shift,” is also a call to action — urging leaders to redesign work, rethink leadership, and build cultures that empower employees to adapt and succeed in uncertain times.

“As we celebrate 70 years of PMAP, this conference is not just about looking back at our legacy — it is about boldly stepping into the future,” said Annual Conference Chair Jovie Monsalud.

“We are here to challenge ourselves as leaders, to embrace innovation, and to ensure that people remain at the center of every transformation.”

Set to speak in the conference are: Scott Friedman (Founder, Together We Can Change the World), Russel Flint (Vice President, O.C. Tanner Asia Pacific), Enrique Rubio (Founder, Hacking HR), Dr. John Stahl-Wert (Founder & Chairman, World Serving Leaders), and Maulik Parekh (Founder, aiVolution).

Alongside local industry leaders, they will share insights on leadership, resilience, employee experience, workplace culture, innovation, and the transformative role of AI.

Business leaders, HR practitioners, and thought leaders are expected to attend the conference leaders to chart the future of work and ignite the next evolution of people management.
