Bimby vows to care for brother Josh even after mom Kris Aquino is gone

MANILA — Veteran host Boy Abunda turned emotional as he shared Bimby Aquino’s promise to his elder brother Josh.

In a video taken from a conference, which is now circulating online,  Abunda revealed that Bimby joined his face-to-face interview with mom Kris Aquino that will be aired on Fast Talk next week.

“Ang nakaka-touch din si Bimb. When he spoke about Josh, sabi niya ‘I will only marry a girl who can accept Kuya, because I know one day when mama is gone I will take care of him,'” said Abunda, who got teary eyed.   

“Nakaka-proud,” Abunda added.

The King of Talk also shared that he also asked Bimby about politics.

“He also spoke about possibilities. You should watch out for my last question. I said when you turn 40 or 45, do you see yourself as president of this country? Bantayan niyo ‘yung sagot,” Abunda added.

Recently, Josh’s name was dragged into controversy after a group of podcasters mocked him.

After more than a decade, Aquino and Abunda will be sitting again for their much-awaited  reunion. This was revealed in a teaser aired on “Fast Talk” on Wednesday, October 21.

“Babalik man dapat ang babalikan ‘yung kasama mo ang hari,” said Aquino, who can be seen talking with Abunda.

According to Abunda, he and Kris are back as part of his week-long celebration.

“Kris and I are definitely back. Abangan niyo po ‘yan ang aming muling pagsasama ni Kris nang face-to-face sa television after 11 years. Ito po ay isang two-part television event marami po kaming napag-usapan ni Kris. We talked about her health, her resolve to live, at ang kanyang pagbabalik trabaho. We also talked about many possibilities about what we can do together. Abangan niyo po ‘yan. We talked about her love life these past years. Nakakatuwa po ‘yon. Ang kanyang mga opinion tungkol sa politika and, of course, her boys Bimb and Josh ang mga nagbibigay ng lakas sa kanya para mabuhay,” Abunda said.

“Ang mapapanood niyo sa aming panayam ay ang Kris Aquino na na-miss nating lahat. Ang Kris na masigla at puno ng buhay, at ang Kris na walang itinatago, ang Kris na napakatotoo,” added Abunda, who hosted  ABS-CBN’s  showbiz talk show “The Buzz” with Aquino for over 15 years.
