Look Test: Rave Victoria and Lance Jeremy tease an exciting dynamic in iWant’s first BL vertical series “Coach Me Maybe”
As iWant continues to bring compelling stories to life through its vertical dramas, it has explored themes of unconditional love, sacrifice, and other deeply relatable experiences. This time, fans of boys’ love (BL) have something new to look forward to with “Coach Me Maybe,” iWant’s first-ever BL vertical series.
Leading the highly anticipated project are former “Pinoy Big Brother Collab 2.0” housemate Rave Victoria and rising actor Lance Jeremy. Rave stars as Romeo, a nerdy student, while Lance portrays Alpha, a cocky judo champion. This coming-of-age romance follows the pair as Alpha draws Romeo into a fake relationship to win back his ex, only for their pretend romance to give way to genuine feelings.
The stars “Coach Me Maybe” underwent story conferences, acting workshops, and look tests in preparation for the series. Giving viewers an early glimpse of what’s to come, the cast members fully embraced their roles, sporting school uniforms and bringing the campus vibe to life.
Rounding out the cast are esteemed actors Christian Vasquez as Coach O and Valerie Concepcion as Victoria. Beyond its central queer love story, “Coach Me Maybe” also shines a spotlight on a promising young ensemble, including “PBB Collab 2.0” alum Iñigo Jose as Mike, Josh Worsley as Echo, Rhianna Santiago as Jules, Kanata Tapia as Charlie, and Ian Lubrica of “Sparks Camp” Season 4 as Nova.
Bringing a fresh dose of kilig, Rave and Lance are already showing undeniable chemistry, offering a glimpse of Alpha and Romeo’s dynamic as they pose in their judo uniforms. As their journey unfolds and an unexpected connection develops, will a rivalry rooted in a fake relationship blossom into something more?
Whether rivals or partners, Alpha and Romeo’s story is only just beginning.
Directed by Theodore Boborol, “Coach Me Maybe” will premiere soon, exclusively on iWant, with subscription plans starting at P35 per month in the Philippines, USD 12.99 per month in the United States, and USD 4.99 per month in the rest of the world.
