The Philippines has slightly improved its place in the latest world’s most powerful passport ranking.

According to the 2019 Henley Passport Index, the country ranked 74th, a point away from last year’s 75th, and has visa-free access to 66 countries, including visa on arrival and electronic travel authority.

Japan remained as the “world’s strongest” with visa-free access to 190 countries.

Singapore and South Korea shared second place with its passport holders allowed to visit 189 destinations visa-free.

France and Germany both earned third spot with access to 188 destinations visa-free.

Meanwhile, Iraq and Afghanistan still hit rock-bottom at 104th place with visa-free access to 30 countries only.

According to its website, the Henley Passport Index is a “ranking of all the passports of the world according to the number of countries their holders can travel to visa-free” based on exclusive data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).

IATA maintains the world’s largest and most comprehensive database of travel information.
