What was supposed to be a lovely evening for fake couple Gabo (Coco Martin) and Gloria (Julia Montes) as they celebrated the latter’s success in finally landing a job suddenly turned tense after an unexpected visitor arrived and disrupted their moment.
Apparently smitten with Gabo’s charm, Misty (Ina Raymundo), couldn’t contain her excitement at seeing him again, so she went to Ginintuang Lupa quite shortly after Gabo left her abode to visit him and bring him gifts. But Misty’s exhilaration quickly faded when she learned that Gabo already had a “wife” and sensed Gloria’s growing rage, especially when Gabo invited her to eat with them, prompting Misty to excuse herself and leave.
As she and Gabo stepped out of the house, Misty accidentally twisted her ankle, and Gabo was quick to assist her as they made their way toward the exit of Ginintuang Lupa. Seeing this made Gloria even more jealous and furious, prompting her to discreetly follow them together with Tyang Mameng (Ces Quesada) and Aling Diday (Diana Opilac).
From a distance, they watched as Gabo and Misty stopped by a sari-sari store and shared an impromptu drinking session at Misty’s suggestion. During their conversation, Misty opened up about her unfortunate past and her strong desire to leave her job as an associate in the human trafficking syndicate led by Raul Montero (Ricardo Cepeda).
When their conversation ended and Misty’s cab arrived, she profusely thanked Gabo for helping and listening to her before giving him a kiss and a hug, further fueling Gloria’s jealousy. Despite
Diday urging her to confront the two, Gloria chose to go home instead, saying that she would never lower herself for them.
Upon returning to their house, Gabo discovered that Gloria was still fuming after witnessing Misty’s affectionate gestures toward him. He tried to appease her with sweet words as soon as he entered the house, hoping to calm her down.
Unfortunately for Gabo, Gloria was so furious and jealous that instead of inviting him to continue their dinner, she threw ceramic plates and a knife at him—all of which he managed to dodge. Gabo tried to explain himself to her, but his words fell on deaf ears, leaving him with no choice but to concede.
