Inka Magnaye gets vulnerable about her freelance work: ‘I’ve had such a difficult past 12 months’

Kapamilya actress and social media personality Inka Magnaye opened up about the realities of being a freelancer and the difficulty she faced in the past year. In her Facebook post earlier this week, the voice actor shared how glad she is that she’s able to have something set aside for those challenging times.

Inka rose to fame on social media in the past years as she shared her experiences as a voice actor for several known businesses in the country. Since then, she expanded her craft and has delved into acting in ABS-CBN shows.

“I’m going to get vulnerable, guys,” she admitted.

The Kapamilya talent didn’t disclose any additional details about what she was referring to but expressed how “it’s been a real test of faith” for her in those 12 months.

“I’ve had such a difficult past 12 months. I lost so much work (and so much of myself) because of the chaos. Buti nalang I’ve always been a frugal person and I was able to set aside enough to get by. But it’s been a real test of faith—I’m sure the freelancers out there who have senior parents know what I’m talking about,” she wrote.

Inka admitted that she turned to her faith for guidance and has had the same prayer for months now, which fortunately has worked towards her favor. She happily announced how things are slowly going her way now, with brands that align with her values sending her messages.

“God really does listen (as mom said, He’s the best booking agent haha). Work’s slowly coming back, and they’re with people and brands who value health & fitness, animal welfare, mental health awareness, and products I actually use,” she added.

For the voice actor, she learned something from this experience as she moves forward with her career and is grateful for the opportunities given to her.

“I suppose we need things to be taken away from us sometimes so that we may develop a deeper appreciation for it. I used to lament being so tired and burnt out all the time from making content. But I’d rather be tired from work than be tired from worrying about whether work is coming in,” she ended.
