Weekend Agenda: One Zone Fest, Silent Sanctuary, I Belong to the Zoo and more

The last full weekend of October is going out with a bang. SB19 and its labelmates take over Araneta, Silent Sanctuary brings its signature “rockestra” sound to the arena, and the Viva Hot Babes reunite for a nostalgic night. Theater, ballet, art, coffee and travel deals round out a weekend that offers plenty of reasons to get out of the house. Here’s what’s worth stepping out for:

1. Spend a weekend in the One Zone
1Z Entertainment brings its artists and fans together for the first One Zone Fest, a two-day event featuring music, performances and fan activities. Day one features J2X, XONARA and solo performances from SB19 members Josh Cullen, Felip, Stell, Pablo and Justin, alongside special guests. Day two celebrates SB19’s eighth anniversary with a fan meeting. Oct. 24–25 at Smart Araneta Coliseum, Quezon City
2. Hear Silent Sanctuary with a symphony orchestra

Silent Sanctuary celebrates its 24th anniversary with “Gabi Ng Lambing,” a major concert that brings the band’s signature “rockestra” sound to the Mall of Asia Arena. The six-piece alternative pop-rock group will be joined by the Manila Symphony Orchestra and vocal ensemble Viva Voce, with Paolo Valenciano directing and Ria Osorio as musical director. Oct. 24-25 at SM Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City

3. Welcome the Viva Hot Babes back

5. Revisit ‘Noli Me Tangere’ through ‘Fiestas y Muertos’

Dulaang Unibersidad ng Pilipinas reimagines José Rizal’s “Noli Me Tangere” in “Fiestas y Muertos,” a production that contrasts the spectacle of colonial festivities with the darker realities of corruption, poverty and oppression. Led by Jerom Canlas as Crisostomo Ibarra and Justine Peña as Maria Clara, the staging offers a visually bold take on Rizal’s enduring story. Oct. 23–Nov. 15 at IBG-KAL Theatre, UP Diliman, Quezon City

6. See ‘El Fuego del Alma’ in Makati revival

Porvenir brings back “El Fuego del Alma,” its Filipino adaptation of Tennessee Williams’ “Summer and Smoke,” for a limited run at a smaller venue in Circuit Makati. The relocation gives director Mark Mirando and the returning cast an opportunity to reshape the staging while retaining the play’s intimate exploration of spirituality, desire and the tension between public expectations and private longing. Proceeds will help fund a planned regional tour beyond Metro Manila. Oct. 24–25 and 30–31 at Art Directed Studio, Circuit Makati

7. Enter a world of K-pop and Halloween fun

Diamond Hotel Philippines combines K-pop excitement with Halloween festivities in K-pop All Stars. The family-friendly event features live entertainment, games, prizes, food and a grand raffle offering a Samsung Galaxy Tab A11+ 5G. 8. Celebrate indie music at ‘SHIRENANIGANS’

Shirebound and Gabi Na Naman Productions present “SHIRENANIGANS Vol. 1,” a celebration of the 10th anniversary of “Pahintulot,” seven years of “For Princesses, By Thieves (O Mga Awit ng Hiraya Para sa Guni-guning Sinta)” and the launch of Shirebound’s new EP, “unsettled.” The show features dwta and Jan Roberts, plus a special extended set and other surprises. Oct. 24 at 123 Block, Mandala Park, Mandaluyong City

9. Experience the French Revolution through ballet
K-BALLET TOKYO brings “The Flame of Paris” to the Samsung Performing Arts Theater as part of Makati’s ARTober celebration. Set against the French Revolution, the ballet explores freedom, sacrifice and love through a dramatic story of revolution and resistance. Oct. 24 at Samsung Performing Arts Theater, Circuit Makati
10. Explore art shaped by land, loss and transformation

MO_Space opens two exhibitions that explore the relationship between people, nature and material. “Terrains of Instability,” featuring Karina Broce-Gonzaga, Frelan Gonzaga, Kiri Dalena and Ben Brix, uses materials including raw earth, sugar, dried bagasse and burned wood to examine displacement, loss and uncertainty. In “HUBOG,” Iloilo-born artist Alan Cabalfin transforms clay and earth into sculptures exploring humanity’s connection with nature. Oct. 24–Nov. 22 at MO_Space, Taguig City

11. Plan your next getaway at the Travel Sale Fair
