Angelica Jones faces complaints over alleged verbal, mental abuse of staff
Laguna Provincial Board Member and former actress Angelica Jones. ABS-CBN News/fileLaguna Provincial Board Member and former actress Angelica Jones Alarva is facing administrative complaints over alleged verbal and mental abuse of her former staff.
Alarva’s former staff, Samantha Alaisa, filed complaints of grave misconduct and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of service against the official at the Office of the Ombudsman on Friday.
Speaking to the press, Alaisa recalled her time working for Alarva, first from January 2021 to June 2022, and again from July to December 2025.
Asked what hurtful words were thrown at her, Alaisa replied: “‘Para kang Grade 1 magtrabaho.
The complainant also said she received curse words.
“Lagi po niya [Alarva] sinasabi “‘wag daw mag-drama,’” Alaisa said when she confronted the board member.
Because of her experience, Alaisa said she has suffered from severe depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic disorder.
She applied for another job at the capitol and has processed the necessary requirements for employment. But she supposedly got information that Alarva was allegedly blocking the job awaiting her.
She added that she has reached out to the official, asking to stop blocking her employment.
Alaisa said other staff members also supposedly suffered abuse from Alarva, but are afraid to speak up.
ABS-CBN News reached out to Alarva for a comment but has yet to receive a response as of posting time.
