From coffee habits to sleeping routines: Get to know GGV Geng Gang member Divine Tetay

Many of us recognize Divine Tetay as one of the members of “Gandang Gabi Vice’s” Geng Gang, alongside Verna Periwinkle and Vince Maristela, who join the Unkabogable Phenomenal Superstar Vice Ganda on the late-night Sunday talk show. But beyond the laughter and entertainment, there’s so much more to Divine Tetay that fans may not know about! 

From his quirky habits at home to his particular preferences when it comes to coffee, food, and even his beauty routine, Tetay has some amusing revelations that offer a glimpse into his life behind the scenes in this episode of “Atin A10 Lang.” 

Aside from making people laugh and impersonating the Queen of All Media Kris Aquino, Tetay disclosed that he has another hidden talent—spend an hour walking around his house without accomplishing anything in particular. According to him, he might start by making coffee, move to the balcony, head to his bedroom, and then wander somewhere else—all without a specific purpose. Talk about keeping himself busy without really doing anything! 

If one’s planning to go somewhere with Tetay, they might want to give him plenty of time to prepare. He admits that it actually takes him a while to get ready, so anyone who waits for him must equip themselves with loads of patience.  

This might sound weird but, for sure, many people can relate to Tetay’s rather particular relationship with coffee. According to him, he actually prefers his coffee piping hot when it is served, but he will not drink it right away because he lets it cool down first. However, it upsets him when he’s given lukewarm or cold coffee. 

Another relatable habit of the stand-up comedian is making sure not to leave food on his plate. Wasting food is apparently a pet peeve for him, so he always makes it a point to finish everything on his plate rather than leave leftovers behind. At the same time, he loves ordering lots of food, seemingly turning meal time an opportunity to indulge in a variety of food and, perhaps, even share them with his loved ones and other people. 

When it comes to sleepwear, Tetay seems to value comfort above all else. He admits that he can wear the same pajamas for five consecutive days, which might surprise those who prefer to change into fresh sleepwear every night. Since he lives alone, Tetay seems to find doing laundry a bit of a struggle. Thus, as a practical trick, he simply changes into his pambahay or casual clothes when he wakes up. 

Speaking of sleep, Tetay shares an endearing detail about his personal life: he loves sleeping with his head tucked into his boyfriend’s armpit! It may be an unconventional sleeping preference, but for him, it seems to be a cozy way to enjoy some closeness with his beloved partner.  

With how he looks so flawless onscreen, many people probably assume that Tetay wears foundation and a full face of makeup. However, he reveals that his beauty routine is simpler than they might imagine because, instead of putting on a heavy foundation, he only uses sunblock and spot-concealing cream to achieve his look.
