Shin Min-ah gushes over Kim Woo-bin’s sweet compliments: ‘He says I’m the prettiest he’s ever seen’

South Korean actress Shin Min-ah got shy while talking about the sweet compliments she receives from her husband, actor Kim Woo-bin, revealing how he continues to make her feel beautiful even on days when she does not feel her best. 

In a preview for an episode of the South Korean variety show You Quiz on the Block, host Yoo Jae-seok asked Min-ah about the phrases she and Woo-bin often say to each other without even realizing it. 

Min-ah initially hesitated to share details about their conversations, admitting that she felt too shy to talk about them. However, she eventually revealed that Woo-bin is particularly generous when it comes to complimenting her. 

“Kim Woo-bin gives a lot of compliments,” she said, as translated by The Chosun Daily. “I’m too shy to say it.” 

Curious about what her husband usually tells her, Jae-seok pressed Min-ah for examples. 

“He says, ‘You’re pretty.’ Even when I look bad, he says I’m good. Even if I’ve gained too much weight or look unwell, he says I’m the prettiest he’s ever seen,” she said. 

Her revelation prompted Jae-seok to praise Woo-bin for his sweetness, describing him as a great husband. 

The couple officially tied the knot on December 20, 2025, after dating publicly for nearly a decade. 

Min-ah and Woo-bin first grew close in 2015 while working as models for the same fashion brand. They later confirmed their relationship and remained together through the years, including during Woo-bin’s battle with nasopharyngeal cancer. 

Their marriage was announced by their agency, AM Entertainment, which shared a black-and-white photograph of the couple ahead of their wedding ceremony. The wedding was held at the Dynasty Hall of the Shilla Hotel in Seoul. 

Following the ceremony, South Korean media outlets said that several prominent celebrities attended the celebration. Among those named were EXO’s D.O., Lee Kwang-soo, BTS’ V, Kim Tae-ri, Lee Byung-hun, Nam Joo-hyuk, and Ahn Bo-hyun, among many others.
