City of Malolos, Bulacan — Police shot it out with two riding-in-tandem criminals, killing both of them just minutes after they held up a restaurant manager in Barangay Bulihan, this city, yesterday.

Supt. Heryl L. Bruno, city police chief, said that the slain holduppers were still unidentified but their victim was identified as Yulbert de Guzman.

De Guzman told investigators that the assailants held him at gunpoint and then took his cellphone and ordered him to strip before fleeing.

The gunmen were intercepted by police, but instead of halting, they allegedly fired at the lawmen, said Bruno.

Police fired back and killed both men.
