Idol or actress? Well, Kim Ji-won can do both! Recently, the Doctor X: Mafia in White actress has been taking over the internet with her impressive performances in chic idol visuals. Just like the fans, we were amused, for that face really suits the Inkigayo stage.

Known for her distinctive look in K-dramas such as Choi Aera’s curly bangs, Hong Hae-in’s elegant waves, and Dr. Gye Su-jeong’s below-the-chin-bob, Kim Ji-won is a low-key celebrity who rarely posts selfies on her social media; that’s why every time she appears to promote her dramas, we’re always surprised and in awe of her beauty. Such is what happened when she performed “Genie” by SNSD during her WONDERLAND fan meeting. She surprised everyone with her K-pop idol look: facial gems, luscious lashes, and 2000s K-pop-esque glam. 

We are all curious about how Kim Ji-won instantly shifted from her usual K-drama look to high-end K-pop glam. The key lies in her palette selection. Although she has an innately bright complexion, it was evenly amplified by choosing velvety palettes for her, making her skin glow naturally on stage.

A closer look also revealed the use of facial gems on her contours, visibly placed on the bridge of her nose and under her eyes. There’s also an evident use of gray contacts to create vivacious eyes for the camera.
