MANILA — Akari erased a one-set deficit and outlasted Farm Fresh in a tense decider to claim their second straight win in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference Siklab Series, Tuesday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Eli Soyud shone brightest as the Chargers scored a 25-22, 25-27, 22-25, 25-23, 15-12 triumph, improving to 2-2 in the league standings.

The result built on their shock sweep of PLDT in their previous assignment. Farm Fresh, meanwhile, dropped to the same record.

“Kailangan lang namin na bumawi sa mga past games namin na natalo kami. Alam ko naman na hindi pa ‘yun ‘yung potential talaga ng team,” said Soyud, who torched the Foxies for a team-high 30 points in the contest.

Soyud outduelled Trisha Tubu, who fired 25 points — all on kills — on the other side of the net for Far Fresh.

Ivy Lacsina added 21 points while Fifi Sharma contributed 11 markers in the win. Akari’s net defense was a major factor, as they tallied 13 kill blocks to just three for Farm Fresh.

The Chargers showed their poise in holding off Farm Fresh to force a decider, setting up a nerve-wracking fifth set where neither team could gain control.

A net touch by Faith Nisperos knotted the count for the last time at 11, and Tubu sent her serve long to put Akari ahead for good, 12-11.

Mars Alba pounced on an overpassed ball to make it a two-point lead, before Sharma turned back Royse Tubino to put the Chargers at match point, 14-11.

Farm Fresh stayed alive when Soyud sent her own serve long, but she quickly made up for it in the next rally, firing a sharp cross-court kill to wrap up the contest in two hours and 31 minutes.

Tubino scored 14 points and Mylene Paat-Rezanova came off the bench for 12 points in the defeat.
