New ship?! Negi’s hilarious ‘hopia’ moments with Rave on “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal”

Every batch of Lucky Stars on “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal” has its own inside jokes that viewers eventually catch on. For the latest Season 6 batch, Negi has been giving us lighthearted comedy because of her not-so-subtle crush on fellow Lucky Star Rave Victoria.

First on the list is Negi’s low-key attempt to score a carnival date with Rave. “Kung may isasama ako sa perya, lalayo pa ba tayo?” she said, when asked who she’d like to bring to a carnival, and then glanced at Rave beside her. 

And then Negi couldn’t hide her affection anymore in that episode where she pleaded with Lucky Star player Eric Fructuoso to save Rave’s briefcase because she still wanted him by her side.  “Siya na lang ‘yung nagpapaligaya sa akin tapos ilalayo mo pa siya sa akin,” she jokingly cried. 

The Negi-Rave ship sailed hard when even Luis Manzano acted as Negi’s wingman. After pretending to take offense at Rave’s statement that he’d been watching “Kapamilya Deal or No Deal” with his grandma since he was a kid, Luis jestingly warned him to stop making ‘age’ jokes, or else Negi might get fired. Taking on the opening Luis just made, Negi leaned toward Rave and said, “Babe, huwag mo sasabihin ‘yun.” 

Negi channeled her inner ‘soft girl’ in an episode where the Lucky Stars talked about the most unforgettable surprises they’ve received. And then Luis asked Rave how he’d react if Negi prepared a surprise for him someday. “Bakit patatagalin pa?” Rave said, prompting Negi to look at him and joke, “Tama ang naging desisyon mo, Rave, kung ako ang pipiliin mo. Kasi hindi mo naitatanong, malaki na ipon ko.” 

In another episode, Luis spilled that the two are now textmates. Negi giddily shared that she calls Rave “beh,” while Rave apparently calls her “baby,” as in “Aling Baby.” LOL!  

After all her attempts to get the ex-“Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” housemate’s attention, Negi thought she finally had a chance in one episode when he brought a bouquet of red flowers for his favorite person. Negi was so ‘hopia’ when Rave handed her the bouquet, until he instructed her to pass the flowers to Aubrey Miles, who was behind her.  

Here’s another ‘hopia’ moment that had us rooting for Negi. She started one episode in the best mood, saying anyone would be happy with Rave standing beside them. To her delight, Rave returned the compliment and explained that he was feeling good too because Negi was looking extra pretty that night. Negi was so ‘kilig’ that she promised, “Bibigyan kita ng P2,500 mamaya.” 

Apparently, Negi believes the way to Rave’s heart is through gift-giving. So when it was his turn to play, she instantly volunteered to get him a new pair of shoes. 

Just when Negi thought she was finally making headway with her crush, a new rival entered the picture—Pepay. So, once and for all, Luis challenged Rave to choose which of the two comedians he was willing to fight for.
