BLACKPINK’s Rosé plays bartender as Scotch whisky brand’s newest collaborator
Rosé traded the stage for the bar counter in Seoul.
The BLACKPINK star went behind the bar and mixed drinks for guests on Monday, October 26, as Johnnie Walker introduced her as its newest collaborator. The party was held at Bar 81, a sky-high bar on the 81st floor of Lotte World Tower, inside the SIGNIEL SEOUL hotel.

Rosé arrived in a jewel-encrusted dress with a structured cut, greeted the guests, and then got to work. With the night’s head bartender, Kim Jin-hwan, who has competed in Diageo’s World Class bartending contest, she made a drink called Rosé’s Ruby “Sweet Girl Intuition” for a small group of invited guests.
The menu had more Rosé drinks made just for the night, with cheeky names like “Toxic Sour” and “Straight to the Point.” Her official signature drink from the partnership is the Twist of Something Highball, made with Johnnie Walker Black Label.
The event felt more like a house party than a press launch. A big disco ball hung in the middle of the room, throwing light over the guests and their drinks.
In a statement, Rosé said she was excited to try something different.
“I’m very excited to expand my creative journey with Johnnie Walker and explore new ways to bring different worlds together. As a brand that has remained iconic across generations, I’m honored to bring something of my own to its evolving story,” she said.
Neil Shah, Johnnie Walker’s global brand director, said the brand picked Rosé because she is fearless with her creativity and stays true to herself.
Seoul is the first stop. More events are planned in other parts of Asia before the partnership goes worldwide.
Rosé is not the first pop star to get her own drink from the whisky label. Grammy winner Sabrina Carpenter also has a multi-year deal with the brand, which gave her the Go Go Highball and a limited-edition Black Label bottle.

The deal adds to Rosé’s growing list of brand partnerships. She has served as a global ambassador for sportswear label PUMA and luggage brand RIMOWA. In 2022, she was also named global ambassador of Korean beauty brand Sulwhasoo.
It has been a big year for the singer. Her duet with Bruno Mars, “APT.,” earned her first Grammy nominations: Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. No K-pop solo artist had been nominated for Record of the Year or Song of the Year before. The song went home without a trophy, but Rosé and Mars opened the ceremony with a live performance of “APT.,” making her the first K-pop soloist to perform on the Grammys stage.
The song came out in October 2024 as the lead single of “rosie,” her first full-length album.
Rosé was born Roseanne Park in Auckland, New Zealand, and raised in Melbourne, Australia. Her Korean name is Park Chae-young. She trained under YG Entertainment for four years before debuting with BLACKPINK in August 2016, alongside Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa.
Filipino BLINKs last caught her on stage in November 2025, when BLACKPINK held two sold- out “Deadline” world tour concerts at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan. Around 100,000 fans attended the shows. It was the group’s first concert in the country since its “Born Pink” stop at the same venue in March 2023.
“Philippines, the best kayo!” Rosé told the crowd. She later said the Bulacan shows drew some of the loudest fans the group had heard on the tour.
