Dolly De Leon to star in Netflix series ‘Feral’ set to film in Australia
Dolly de Leon is set to star in the upcoming Netflix dark comedy-drama series Feral.
According to a press release by Netflix’s Tudum, Dolly will portray a character named Elena in the seven-episode series.
She joins an international cast led by Michelle Dockery as Julia, Jessica Gunning as Annie, Genevieve O’Reilly as Silvana, and Philippa Northeast as Suzy.
Based on Shirley Conran’s bestselling novel Savages, the series follows four women who accompany their husbands, all mining executives, on a corporate vacation to a tropical island.
“When the men’s shady deals land them all in danger, the women must learn to survive the jungle — and each other. Can they put aside their differences, self-doubts, and vanities to stay alive?” the press release stated.
Writer and executive producer Jude Mack expressed excitement about bringing the story to the screen.
“Feral is a wild, messy journey of self-discovery, and it’s a complete dream to be carrying Shirley Conran’s torch alongside Hera and Netflix,” Jude said. “I can’t wait for people to meet these funny, brutal, bold women. I’m obsessed with them and hope audiences will be too,” she added.
The upcoming series will be directed by Emma Freeman. Filming for Feral is scheduled to begin in Australia this 2026.
Dolly recently appeared in Netflix’s live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2.
In a previous interview with PUSH ABS-CBN, the actress expressed her excitement about joining the series, sharing that she had been a fan of the franchise long before becoming part of its cast.
“I’m extremely excited and honored to be part of an iconic live action version of an animated cult classic. It’s my first time to play twins, which is the best fun in a creative process. It’s a dream come true,” she said.
“Nung pandemic ng 2020 I watched it so I was very familiar with the series. Pinanuod ko lahat. Pinanuod ko yung buong animated series. Pinanuod ko rin yung live-action. Nag binge watch ako. Sobrang ganda,” she added.
