Marvin Agustin celebrates restaurant’s Michelin Bib Gourmand award for second year
Marvin Agustin took to social media to celebrate another milestone for his restaurant, Cochi, after it earned the Michelin Bib Gourmand distinction for the second consecutive year.
“For the second year in a row, COCHI By Marvin has been awarded the MICHELIN Bib Gourmand! ❤️” he posted on his Instagram page.
The actor and entrepreneur also expressed his gratitude to his restaurant team, dedicating the recognition to their hard work, dedication, and passion.
“This recognition belongs to our entire team. Behind it are countless hours of hard work, discipline, dedication, and genuine love for what we do. I couldn’t be prouder of our team. You deserve this moment. Maraming salamat sa inyong lahat! Congratulations to all of us! ❤️” he said.
Fans online were quick to extend their congratulatory messages to Marvin.
“Congratulations! Will be visiting when I visit back in PH,” one fan wrote.
“Congratulations @marvinagustin and team. Can’t wait for my reservation next month,” another fan said.
As per Michelin Guide’s website, the Bib Gourmand is “a special distinction recognizing restaurants that serve high-quality food at great value, helping diners discover outstanding meals for every occasion and every budget.”
Cochi first received the Michelin Bib Gourmand distinction in October 2025.
Following the recognition at that time, Marvin reflected on his humble beginnings and the challenges he faced before achieving his dreams.
“From being a mascot to receiving a Michelin Bib Gourmand — life has shown me that dreams do come true. There were moments I almost gave up. But I learned that in your toughest times, that’s when you need to hold on tighter,” he said. “Never stop believing — especially in yourself. ❤️”
The actor also celebrated the achievement of the Philippine culinary industry, extending his congratulations to fellow chefs, restaurant teams, and everyone who contributed to the milestone.
“And to the entire culinary landscape of the Philippines — congratulations. 👏 To all the hardworking chefs, teams, and everyone in and beyond that ballroom — this is our win,” he remarked.
