WATCH: Long Mejia and Crisha Uy’s love-hate moments on “Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal” are giving rom-com vibe

When it comes to making viewers and his fellow Lucky Stars laugh, Long Mejia certainly knows how to work his charm. But while he’s been winning everyone’s hearts with his hilarious antics, it looks like someone may have already captured his own. 

And the ‘lucky’ lady who’s managed to catch his attention is none other than Lucky Star vlogger and commercial model Crisha Uy. Their playful back-and-forth and hilarious interactions have all the makings of an unexpected rom-com, as seen in this Kapamilya Toplist video from “Kapamilya Deal Or No Deal.” 

In one episode, Long was asked what superpower he would love to have, and his answer was invisibility because he’s tired of women making their dates public. Talk about pogi problems! And to prove his point, Luis Manzano brought out some stolen shots from Long and Crisha’s alleged first date, showing the two enjoying dinner at a restaurant and looking pretty sweet together. 

Long, however, wasn’t too happy about their little date becoming public knowledge especially since he had asked Crisha not to tell anyone about it. But what could Crisha do when the man was simply too handsome to resist? She said was her first time inviting a guy out and even expressed her hopes for a second date so she could get to know him better. 

Of course, what’s a rom-com without a little drama? Long and Crisha’s playful love-hate relationship has had its fair share of tampuhan, and as they say, falling for a handsome guy isn’t always easy! In one episode, Crisha talked about her biggest love ‘budol’, sharing that she’d been fooled in love several times before, only to find herself going through the same thing again with a certain womanizer who couldn’t reciprocate her feelings properly. 

And because no rom-com is complete without a love triangle. Lucky Star Asia Yoona entered the picture and claimed she was first in line for his affection. Faced with the romantic predicament, Long tried to end his connection with Asia right then and there. Looks like being a heartthrob isn’t all fun and games! 

Still, it seems Crisha just can’t resist the kilig that she gets from Long. In the episode where she was chosen as the Lucky Player, Crisha shared that she’s looking for a guy who’s loyal and always present. And although Long wasn’t in the studio, he managed to check one of those boxes by showing up virtually through a live video call to wish her good luck. 

Crisha still has the upper hand, proof is a photo from their ‘second date’ showed the them sharing an intense gaze across the table. After those ‘date’ photos made the rounds, Long explained what happened, or rather, how Crisha chased him for that dinner, “Kahapon, uwian na, paglabas ko ng kotse may nakaharang. Pagbukas ko, si Crisha. Sabi, ‘I-invite kita sanang mag-dinner.’ Ayaw ko, meron akong trabaho. Eh, kaysa maglupasay ‘yan at mag-iiyak sa harapan ng ABS-CBN, eskandalo pa, pinagbigyan ko na.”  

Crisha explained that she just wanted to experience dating a comedian,  and rumor has it that she’s hoping for a follow-up date. But because every heartthrob can play a little ‘pakipot,’ Long called her out for being too transparent about their status. “Ikaw naman wala ka nang inilihim,” he told Crisha. “Baka hindi natin ituloy ‘yan, eh kung mainis ako.”
