What About Coffee rolls out holiday drink lineup

MANILA — What About Coffee (WACo), a cozy café in Quezon City known for serving specialty coffees as well as food, has launched its latest collection of beverages for the Christmas season.

Just recently, ABS-CBN News was invited at the unveiling of WACo’s holiday drinks held at its third branch, located at Capitol Greenstreet on Capitol Hills Drive in Matandang Balara.

The joy of holiday season was poured in its eight Christmas signature drinks, such as Premium Hot Chocolate, a rich, comforting classic for cozy holiday moments; Cinnamon Brown Sugar Shaken Iced Latte, a refreshing coffee creation combining the sweetness of brown sugar with a hint of cinnamon; Puto Bumbong Latte, a festive drink inspired by the traditional Filipino Christmas delicacy; and Black Forest Latte, a coffee creation inspired by the indulgent combination of chocolate and cherry flavors.

Completing the lineup are: Pistachio Matcha Latte, a distinctive pairing of matcha and the nutty flavor of pistachio; Tiramisu Latte,  a coffee drink inspired by the familiar flavors of the classic Italian dessert; Toasted Mallows Latte, a cozy latte with the nostalgic sweetness of toasted marshmallows; and Biscoff Matcha Latte, a creative combination of matcha and Biscoff’s signature spiced, caramelized flavor.

“What’s special is that it’s also very Filipino and nostalgic. We really took our time and creating these drinks, making sure na quality lahat,” said Patricia Gregorio, one of the owners of WACo.

The drinks are best paired with the cafe’s Christmas pancakes — 4 Cheese Bibingka Pancake, Salted Egg Bibingka Pancake, and Ube Cheese & Salted Egg Bibingka Pancake. The Christmas pancakes are only available at WACo Katipunan and WACo Capitol Hills.

“It’s really a team effort we pulled ideas from everyone, also our R&D team and as mentioned, we really need took our time in creating them. Trial and error, making sure na quality ‘yung lahat ng ingredients. We actually have like mga 15 drinks and then we cut it down to the best eight drinks,” added Gregorio, whose personal favorites are Pistachio Matcha Latte and Puto Bumbong Latte.

WACo’s Christmas drinks are now available in all WACo stores — WACo Katipunan, WACo University Hotel, and WACo Capitol Hills — until January 15, 2027.

To complete the season of giving, WACo is also giving customers the chance to win a Vespa, through its Christmas raffle.

Customers can join the promotion by dining in at any participating What About Coffee branch. Each receipt worth ₱2,000 earns one electronic raffle entry. The promotion runs through January 30, 2027, with the grand draw set for February 1, 2027.
