Bella Hadid still in disbelief after opening Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show alongside iconic Angels
International supermodel Bella Hadid is still on cloud nine after fulfilling a longtime dream of opening this year’s Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show alongside some of the brand’s most iconic Angels.
On her social media page, Bella shared how much the milestone meant to her, describing the experience as something beyond words.
“still dreaming of this- and the honor of opening the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show…. It’s all just beyond what words can really express,” she wrote.
The supermodel also looked back on her younger years, recalling how she used to watch the fashion show with her sister and friends, never imagining that she would one day become part of the iconic runway event.
“My teenage self, watching the show on the couch with my sister and girlfriends; would never have believed that 15 years later, I’d be opening that very show- alongside the models who we all – to this day- look at as the original angels. Which they are. True angels. Unreal,” she expressed.
“Felt like the realest combination of imposter syndrome met with a fever dream but here we are!!! Filled with gratitude. Knowing that God has a plan and this was his timing for me. I’m just still in shock!”
Having first walked the Victoria’s Secret runway a decade ago, Bella also reflected on how special it was to reach another milestone with the fashion brand.
“Ten years since my first VS show, I still look around at all the beautiful, kind, talented, smart, hardworking women beside me, so many of whom are equally deserving of this moment. It’s an honor I don’t take lightly,” she stated.
She also shared how much stronger she felt this year, adding: “This year, I felt stronger than ever, mentally and physically. I would have been grateful just to be one of @adamselman ‘s blooming flowers… let alone the first… 🌺 🌼 🌹”
Bella then expressed her appreciation for the people who worked behind the scenes to make the moment possible, recognizing the effort and dedication of the entire team.
“I know how much work, love, and trust goes into a moment like this, and how many people it takes to make it happen. To be given this opportunity, especially among so many women I admire, means more to me than I can express. I’ll never forget how it felt, or the people who made it possible,” she said.
“Thank you to the entire VS team. To Adam, Carlyne, Piergiorgio, Pat, Guido, the atelier, behind the scenes crews, our incredible dressers (whom I love so dearly), the production team, and every single person who makes this show what it is; but truly more so- what it has become- from the inside out. So many strong, hardworking, independent human beings in front of and behind the lens.”
Bella ended her heartfelt post by expressing how grateful she was for the unforgettable experience, saying: “Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love you all forever – and will never forget this moment for this lifetime or the next. Thank you thank you thank you. 🤍🥲”
For this year’s show, Bella made her fifth appearance on the Victoria’s Secret runway, opening the fashion presentation in a whimsical, fairy-inspired green lingerie ensemble.
The show also featured an impressive lineup of supermodels, including Bella’s sister Gigi Hadid and several iconic Victoria’s Secret Angels, such as Adriana Lima, Candice Swanepoel, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Behati Prinsloo. Ashley Graham and Alex Consani were also among the models who graced the runway.
Megan Thee Stallion, Tate McRae, KATSEYE, and Megan Moroney also performed in the show.
Another highlight was the return of the brand’s iconic Fantasy Bra, worn by television personality and entrepreneur Kylie Jenner.
Adding to the show’s memorable moments was Filipino-Irish-British model Christina Nadin, who became the second Filipina to walk the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, following Kelsey Merritt.
