Food delivery rider goes missing after delivery in Cavite
A food delivery rider has been missing for more than a month after allegedly delivering a pizza order to a subdivision in Barangay Pinagtipunan, General Trias, Cavite, on September 25.
The missing rider was identified as Arnulfo Filio Logronio II.
His wife, Beverly Logronio, said she last communicated with her husband on the day he disappeared.
She said he sent her screenshots of three different delivery bookings, with the pizza order being his last reported delivery.
Beverly said her husband had never come home late without informing her throughout their eight years of marriage.
“Sa walong taon na kasal namin, never po na umuwi ng late yung asawa ko nang wala pong abiso. Kaya po nung oras na hindi ko na kontak…” said Beverly Logronio, wife of the missing rider.
CCTV footage from the subdivision reportedly showed Logronio completing the delivery. However, minutes later, another person was seen driving his motorcycle.
Beverly said she recognized that the person riding her husband’s motorcycle was not him.
“Hindi ko asawa ’yon. Kilala ko yung asawa ko. Iba postura niya pag nakaupo sa motor niya. Malayo sa postura… mapuputi yung asawa ko, yung nagmamaneho, naka-sleeveless,” Logronio added.
His motorcycle was later found abandoned in Tanza, Cavite, on the same day, with part of its delivery box burned.
Logronio’s fellow delivery riders have also joined efforts to search for their missing colleague.
His wife remains hopeful that he is still alive and will return home to their family.
“Umaasa akong buhay pa rin asawa ko. Yung anak namin na may autism, ‘I want my Papa home,’ lagi niyang prayer kay Jesus, ‘please bring my Papa back home safely,’” she said.
The Cavite Police Provincial Office has formed a Special Investigation Task Group to investigate the disappearance. The NBI Homicide Division is also conducting a parallel investigation.
Cavite Police Provincial Director PCOL. Ariel Red said investigators have invited the missing rider’s wife and parents to keep them informed about the progress of the investigation.
“Isa sa part ng investigation is in-invite natin yung mismo asawa at kanyang magulang para sa gano’ng maunawa nila kung anong takbo ng investigation na ginagawa namin,” said PCOL. Ariel Red, provincial director of the Cavite Police Provincial Office.
Authorities are appealing to the public to report any information that could help locate Logronio through the PNP Unified 911 hotline.
