8 pet owners file NBI complaint against pet crematorium linked to Bulacan dumping site
Eight fur parents have filed a formal complaint with the National Bureau of Investigation against the owner of a pet crematorium allegedly involved in the dumping of dead animals in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.
The complainants say they paid for their beloved pets to be cremated, only to discover that the animals may not have received the dignified final resting place they expected.
Meanwhile, 153 other pet owners have also filed complaints with the Bacoor City Police.
The NBI is investigating the allegations, while authorities say returned pet ashes may undergo forensic examination to determine whether they actually came from the deceased animals.
Animal welfare groups are also calling for stricter laws governing pet cremation and aftercare services. – ANC, The World Tonight, November 3, 2026
