Camille Prats proud as son Nate begins college journey at his dream school
Kapuso actress and host Camille Prats was proud as her eldest son, Nate, takes another step toward his dreams by beginning his college journey at Ateneo de Manila University.
On her Instagram page, Camille shared a heartfelt message for Nate, recalling how he first set foot on the university’s campus when he was still in Grade 1.
“College! 💙 The first time you ever set foot on this campus was when you were in Grade 1. But God had other plans in between, leading you to a place where you grew not only academically, but more importantly, in your faith,” Camille wrote.
The proud mom also recalled how Nate shared his dream of studying at Ateneo with her and her husband, VJ Yambao, after completing high school.
“After high school, you shared with us your desire to pursue college at this university. We prayed for it together as you worked hard and pushed yourself toward this goal,” she continued.
For Camille, seeing her son finally reach this milestone is a testament to his hard work and faith.
“This moment right here is a beautiful testament to God’s sovereignty and faithfulness. Truly, we can make our plans, but it is the Lord who establishes our steps. 💙,” she said.
She also offered words of encouragement as Nate begins this new chapter of his life, saying: “May this always be a reminder to you, Nate, that nothing can stop what the Lord has willed for your life. His plans and purposes will always prevail. As you begin this new chapter, may you continue to be salt and light wherever God places you. May you grow in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. Been cheering you on since Day 1.. 🥹💙.”
Nate is Camille’s son with her late husband, Anthony Linsangan, who passed away in 2011. The actress later married VJ in 2017, and their blended family also includes Ice, VJ’s son from a previous relationship. The two also shared two more kids Nala and Nolan.
In an earlier Instagram post celebrating Nate’s high school graduation, Camille expressed how quickly time had passed as her eldest prepared to enter college.
“Not only are you 18 you’re also entering college! 😭 too much too soon my heart can’t keep up,” she expressed. “We’re so proud of you Nate! We see how hard you work for things you want to have, your perseverance to go after things you desire. As you move on to another chapter, dad and I are always here for you. Guiding you, supporting you and ultimately, praying for you.”
“No words could describe how proud I am to be your mom,” she added.
Camille’s post also drew congratulatory messages from friends and family who celebrated Nate’s latest milestone.
