A song from “Forgotten Island,” an animated fantasy film that draws heavily from Philippine mythology, has received two nominations at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMAs).

The song “BRB,” performed by lead voice actors H.E.R. and Liza Soberano, was nominated for Best Song in an Animated Film and Best Music Video.

In the Best Song in an Animated Film, “BRB,” written by pop hitmaker Ryan Tedder and Gabriella Wilson, will go up against songs from “Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie,” “Toy Story 5,” “Steps” and “Wildwood.”

“Bottle Up” from “Paw Patrol” was co-written by Ed Sheeran and performed by the Backstreet Boys, while “I Knew It, I Knew You” from “Toy Story 5” was performed by Taylor Swift, who co-wrote the song with her frequent collaborator Jack Antonoff.

“Someone to Hold” from “Steps” was performed by Blackpink star Jennie, while “The Better Part of Bravery” from “Wildwood” was performed by the American indie rock band The Decemberists.

In the Best Music Video category, “BRB” goes up against songs from “Beautiful,” “By Any Means,” “Pictures at an Exhibition: The Paintings of Bob Peak,” “I’m So In Love WIth You,” “Tunapaa (We Rise)” and “The Odyssey.”

The winners will reportedly be announced at the HMMA on Wednesday, November 18.

The HMMAs recognizes original music in all visual media from around the globe, including film, TV, video games, trailers, commercial advertisements, documentaries and special programs, according to its website.

The awards are organized by the Hollywood Music In Media Academy, with an advisory board consisting of professionals from various facets of entertainment and a voting body of entertainment professionals and journalists.

Premiering in September, “Forgotten Island” follows two friends who are transported to a world inhabited by mythical creatures from Philippine folklore. The film features a predominantly Filipino-descended voice cast.
