Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes talk about memories they want to keep, forget

MANILA — Marian Rivera named her wedding day as the memory she would always want to keep, while Dingdong Dantes talked about the moments with their children he wishes he hadn’t missed, as the real-life couple visited the “Pinoy Big Brother” house as guest housemates.

Talking to the “Pinoy Big Brother: Collab 3.0” housemates as part of their task, Rivera said that having grown up in a broken family, she had always dreamed of having a family of her own.

“Ang araw para sa akin na gusto kong maalala is ‘yung araw ng kasal namin ni Dong. Kasi dream ko talaga magkaroon ng isang pamilya. Siyempre hindi niyo pa ako kilala, galing kasi ako sa isang broken family. Lumaki akong walang magulang sa tabi ko. So sabi ko ‘yon ang pangarap ko na magkaroon ako ng isang buong pamilya na may anak. ‘Yun ang gusto kong ma-remember,” Rivera said.

“Kasi dahil sa kanya (Dantes) nabuo ang pangarap ko kasi may dalawang anak na kami. So ‘yun ang gusto ko na palaging maalala,” she added.

For his part, Dantes said he wants his children to forget the days that he’s not with them during special moments.

“Kasi ‘yung kids namin they are so into many activities, mayroon silang singing recital, sports events, etc. The day I want to forget, siguro it’s not me forgetting but parang I want them to forget that day, na sana hindi na nag-exist ang day na ‘yon. Kasi ang daming moments na dahil busy ako sa work. Sa aming dalawa kasi ako ang busy this year. So hindi ako maka-attend, wala ako sa special moments nila sa school, in their activities. And I know that parang gusto nila na nandoon kami pareho. So I want to forget those moments and hopefully hindi nila maalala ‘yon at maalala nila ‘yung greater reason why wala ako roon. ‘Ah wala siya roon because he’s working for us, for our family,'” Dantes said.

The couple went inside the PBB house to promote their upcoming movie “Remember,” a co-production between Star Cinema, APT Entertainment, AgostoDos Pictures, and Regal Entertainment.

The film follows an estranged couple, who have forgotten what it means to love each other, find themselves pretending to be together again for the sake of their daughter, whose memory is fading. “As they remember their past, they learn that love has a long memory. All it sometimes needs is one miracle to remember.

Directed by Mae Cruz Alviar, the film is set to hit cinemas on November 11.
