Michael Pangilinan and Garie Concepcion are expecting Baby No. 2: ‘Our 2026 plot twist’

Garie Concepcion and Michael Pangilinan are preparing to welcome another addition to their growing family.

In a joint social media post, Garie and Michael announced that they are expecting their second child together, describing the pregnancy as a blessing and a miracle.

“Another beautiful reminder that God’s plans are always greater than ours. Our family is growing and our hearts are too,” Garie wrote in a post.

She went on: “Our 2026 plot twist, blessing and miracle 🙏🏽 2027, we’re excited for you! 💕💕💕”

The announcement featured a sonogram of their baby, surrounded by three stuffed toys and yellow flowers. It also included a baby onesie bearing the words “little ANSWERED prayer.”

Garie’s sister, KC Concepcion, shared her excitement over the news, commenting, “So excited for you! Congratulations sis and Khel ✨.”

The couple has kept much of their relationship private over the years. Michael first publicly confirmed his relationship with Garie in a 2016 interview with Boy Abunda.

In a separate interview, Garie shared what she appreciates most about the singer, particularly his genuine personality and the way he treats her family.

“He’s very real. Hindi po siya pretensyoso. Kung ayaw niya, ayaw niya. Kung gusto ka niya sasabihin niya. Kung may gusto siyang gawin para sa yo, sinasabi at ginagawa niya. Pero kung meron man po akong na-appreciate talaga kay Michael is yung kung paano niya minahal yung pamilya ko. Sobrang malambing po siya,” she said.

Garie, whose real name is Maria Gabrielle, is the daughter of actor Gabby Concepcion and businesswoman Grace Ibuna.

In 2023, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together. Garie gave birth to their daughter, Danielle Amari, that same year.

When Danielle celebrated her first birthday, Garie shared a heartfelt message about their decision to keep their daughter’s early moments private before introducing her to the public.

“My beautiful girl.. We enjoyed our private moments with you for a whole year but now it’s time to show the world our most precious gift. We thank God for your existence in our lives, and we feel very blessed to see you growing up to be the silly, witty, smart and happy little girl that you are! Your smile melts many hearts!”

“I pray that you grow up to be a kindhearted, loving and God-fearing person. As your mother, I promise to guide you and take care of you the best way I know how. I love you more than words can describe! Happy Happy First Birthday my dear, Danielle Amari! 🥰😍🥰,” Garie wrote in a post.

Meanwhile, Michael is known for his hit songs “Pare, Mahal Mo Raw Ako,” “Bakit Ba Ikaw,” and “Hanggang Kailan,” as well as his covers of classic tracks such as “Your Love,” “It Might Be You,” “Alipin,” and “Let Me Be the One,” among others.

The singer also has a son with his former partner, former GirlTrends member Erin Ocampo.
