Miss Universe PH 2026 Bea Millan-Windorski gets heartfelt send-off ahead of Puerto Rico campaign
Miss Universe Philippines 2026 Bea Millan-Windorski was given a warm send off at Lime Resort Manila before she departs for the international pageant in Puerto Rico.
Members of the Miss Universe Philippines (MUPH) organization shared sweet messages for the queen.
Members of the media also gathered to cheer on the 24-year-old, who aims to bring home the Philippines’ fifth Miss Universe crown on November 24.
Millan-Windorski wore a green asymmetrical archival piece by Rajo Laurel, which she said resonates with her environmental advocacies.
Getting emotional over not being with her family, she thanked everyone who came to support her.

“Maraming maraming salamat po from the bottom of my heart for your continued support, for your belief in my ability to bring the messages of the Filipino people to the international stage. I know I was getting emotional earlier about not being able to be with my family, but truly, the Empire family, the Miss Universe Philippines, and the Team Bea family, along with all of the pageant bloggers here and media, have really made me feel like you’re my family away from home,” she said.
Millan-Windorski was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2026 on May 2 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
“I’m also really proud to represent what it means to be a global citizen as a Filipina, as someone who has had the opportunity to experience two different cultures, but also to live across three different countries and over a dozen cities,” she said.
But for her, the journey is bigger than the crown.
“This journey from Miss Universe Philippines all the way to the international stage has never just been about capturing the fifth crown for the Filipino people. Because, of course, I would love to do that,” she said.
“But ultimately, it’s about empowering Filipino people across our country and even across the diaspora to advocate for building the kind of future we deserve.”
She also said she hopes she has lived up to her promise during her six months as Miss Universe Philippines as a “public servant for all.”
“I’m excited to extend my work beyond just environment, but also to include assisting displaced communities, connecting to the work I’ve previously done with refugee students, and to really bring the voices, (be) a conduit of change for our most underserved communities,” she said.
For her send-off look and upcoming outfits, she gave credit to her styling team and to a clothing technique that she resonates with.
“I’m really proud of what my styling team has put together,” she said.
“A clothing technique that I really resonate with is tagpi-tagpi, which means patchwork. And I feel like we’ve been able to take little aspects of fashion all across our archipelago, whether it’s weaving, whether it’s beadwork, to represent that the Philippines is truly diverse. But what makes us special is that we’re able to find unity despite all of our difference.”
Millan-Windorski flies out in two days, with official delegate activities in Puerto Rico starting on November 8.
“I’m really excited to explore the beaches and the mountains that Puerto Rico has because I love spending time outdoors,” she said.
Another thing that excites her is finally seeing her mom and dad, who will be present in Puerto Rico to support her.
“So after the competition, I’m looking forward to spending time with my family. We’ll have Thanksgiving together, and then hopefully go on a hike together.”
But here in the Philippines, her family became the MUPH organization with its vice president Voltaire Tayag telling her to embrace the pressure that comes with the pageant.
“Amidst all the noise, and there’s going to be a lot of overthinking that’s going to happen, there’s going to be a lot of anxiety and stress that inevitably will happen. That doesn’t mean that it’s a bad thing. It’s a natural thing,” he said.
“You are Miss Universe Philippines because you’re Bea.”
“We love you so much. And we are with you 100%! We have always believed in you. And we will continue to believe in you. No matter what happens, we are proud of you,” he said.
The Miss Universe Philippines organization’s Paolo Arevalo also shared a thoughtful message for the queen.
“Every moment to rest when you’re there. It’s going to be very hectic. It’s going to be very busy,” he said.
“And I wanted to tell you to make sure that you rest your mind, rest your body, and rest your soul. Because you are going to bring home the crown.”
National director Ara Arida said she already sees a Miss Universe in Millan-Windorski and gave her advice.
“Grabe, time flies so fast. Now we’re sending you off. Actually, the moment you arrived and I saw you now, I’m actually seeing a Miss Universe now,” she said.
“Don’t forget to have fun. You know, Bea? Kasi I know you’ve been wanting this so bad. You’ve really went to all your trainings. So when you go to Puerto Rico, you know that you’re already trained, you’re confident enough.”
“So what I want you to do there is to have fun na,” she said.
Trainer Ian Mendajar then spoke of her transformation.
“I’m really, really honored and grateful to be part (of the team). I’ve seen Bea from day zero… And the transformation is really amazing,” he said.
“I’m really proud of, why I’m part of this journey because this is not just a Miss Universe journey. This is a purposeful journey. And that’s why Bea is a Miss Universe in the making. Because this is not just about her, and about us, and about the organization, but also for the works of a Miss Universe,” he said.
