PVL: Unbeaten Nxled pulls off impressive third set comeback to outlast Choco Mucho

The Nxled Chameleons are still perfect in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference Siklab series. PVL ImagesMANILA — Nxled pulled off an impressive comeback in the third set to eventually outlast Choco Mucho, 25-23, 23-25, 25-23, 25-17, in the 2026 Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference Siklab series on Tuesday at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.

Down by as much as eight points in the third period, 16-8, the Chameleons clawed their way back and eventually tied at 22-apiece after a Brooke Van Sickle sharp spike that Thang Ponce could not dig.

Kat Tolentino stopped the bleeding for the Flying Titans with a kill of her own, 23-22, but the ever-reliable Nxled ace knotted the match once more, 23-all.

A Myla Pablo attack—which was first called by the officials outside, but was overturned by a successful block touch challenge—put the Chameleons on set point, while MJ Phillips completed the come-from-behind set win with a service ace that caught the Flying Titans off-guard.

Riding that momentum, the Chameleons raced to a 16-10 gap in the ensuing frame and never looked back.

“Well, this is maturity and pressure-tested success, so I’m really happy about that,” said coach Ettore Guidetti during the post-match interview.

Van Sickle did what she does best, leading the charge with 19 points on 17 attacks and two blocks, to go along with 12 excellent digs and 10 excellent receptions.

Phillips finished with 13 points including three blocks, while Pablo had 12 markers, and Jonah Sabete-Escamillan completed the supporting cast with nine points and 13 excellent receptions.

The victory kept Nxled spotless, gaining a share of the lead with Creamline at 4-0.

Meanwhile, Choco Mucho dropped to 3-2 after the heartbreak. Eya Laure paced their side with 18 points, while Sisi Rondina-Rosales had 14 markers in the loss.
