The Korean historical drama “Sacred Jewel,” which stars Ahn Bo-hyun and Claudia Kim, will be available to stream for Filipino audiences on Prime Video starting December 5.

The streaming platform announced the premiere date in a statement on Tuesday.

Set in 1258 during Korea’s Goryeo Dynasty, the series follows a kingdom on the brink of collapse after nearly three decades of relentless warfare against the Mongols.

As defeat looms, warrior Baek Gyul leads a daring expedition to recover a sacred jewel believed to possess miraculous powers that could protect Goryeo, Prime Video said.

Bo-hyun, known for his roles in “Flex X Cop” and “Spring Fever,” plays Baek Gyul, a determined and resourceful young warrior tasked with recovering treasures that could turn the tide of the war. He also finds himself entangled in a forbidden romance with Princess Wang Hee, drawing the emperor’s wrath.

Meanwhile, Claudia Kim, known for her roles in Hollywood productions and K-dramas such as “Gyeongseong Creature” and “The Atypical Family,” portrays Wang Hee, the emperor’s youngest daughter, who is known for her striking beauty and icy demeanor.

The series also stars Lee Sung-min (from “Teach You A Lesson” and “Reborn Rich”), Ha Yoon-Kyung (“Undercover Miss Hong” and “See You in My 19th Life”) and Yoon Kyun-sang (“Six Flying Dragons” and “The Rebel”).

“Sacred Jewel” is directed by Jung Dae-yoon, known for “Reborn Rich” and “She Was Pretty,” and written by Jung Hyun-min, whose previous works include “Nokdu Flower.”
