By Jeffrey Damicog

Two Chinese nationals and two young Filipinos youths were arrested by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for being involved in a prostitution operation in Makati City.

NBI spokesman Deputy Director Ferdinand Lavin identified the Chinese nationals as Han Wang and Fengping Yue.

The two were arrested in a raid conducted by the NBI’s Anti-Human Trafficking Division (NBI-AHTRAD) at a condominium in Makati City last Wednesday.

The NBI operatives, who served a search warrant, also arrested their Filipino cohorts, 18-year-old Richelle Athena Maxine Landicho, and a 17-year-old male.

The operation also resulted in the rescue of 16 females, among whom 11 minors with the youngest at 15-years old.

NBI operatives also seized as evidence four mobile phones, sexy lingerie, costumes, condoms, and lubricants.

Lavin said the operation was conducted based on the intelligence information from the Philippine Air Force (PAF) which earlier took into custody a female minor who had sought its assistance after escaping from the Chinese nationals.

The victim recounted that Landicho recruited her, and was brought to a condominium unit located in Mandaluyong City last February 22.

She said the operations moved to Makati after Wang feared that one of the girls who escaped might report their illegal activities to authorities.

Lavin said the operation caters to Chinese nationals, who pay the girls between P6,000 to P17,000 for sex.
