Anne Curtis, Emilio Daez take different routes to everyday style

Kapamilya fashion icon Anne Curtis has a way of making wardrobe staples feel considered. A sleeveless top with fluid denim culottes, a crisp shirt thrown over the shoulders, a pleated mini styled with a simple tee — her Fall/Winter 2026 selections for Uniqlo play with proportion and layering without losing sight of comfort. “Pinoy Big Brother” alum and emerging style figure Emilio Daez takes a more pared-back approach, building his looks around familiar menswear pieces: relaxed shirts, uncomplicated jackets, good denim, and T-shirts that can carry an outfit on their own.

The two Kapamilya stars approach the season from different style perspectives. Curtis favors polished casual dressing, with feminine silhouettes and thoughtful combinations. Daez keeps things clean and relaxed, drawing on classic wardrobe staples and easy layers. Both make a case for clothes that can keep pace with a full calendar.

Anne Curtis: The art of the well-put-together basic

Curtis’s first look sets the tone with an AIRism sleeveless bra top and drapey denim culottes, finished with a cotton shirt worn as an additional layer. The contrast does the work: a close-fitting top against the culottes’ fluid A-line shape, with the shirt lending the outfit a little more structure. It is a combination that moves easily between dressed-down and polished.

“My schedule is always packed with shoots, travels, and events, so I love pieces that can keep up,” Curtis says. The AIRism bra top, with its lightweight, breathable, quick-drying fabric and built-in 360-degree support, is designed to be worn on its own or layered.

For a preppier take, Curtis pairs a JWA flannel long sleeve shirt with a crew neck short sleeve t-shirt and pleated skort. The shirt’s boxy, shorter cut offsets the skort’s high waist and wide pleats. Rather than leaning too heavily on collegiate references, the combination keeps the styling relaxed and contemporary.

Handout Her layering choices bring texture into the picture. A broadcloth long sleeve shirt, made from ultra-long staple cotton, offers a more substantial alternative to a basic button-down. A merino crew neck sweater adds a finer finish, while the fluffy yarn fleece full-zip jacket introduces a softer, more casual layer. The pieces can be worn separately or combined as temperatures change.

For colder-weather dressing, Curtis’s selection includes the PUFFTECH parka, designed with lightweight insulation, and the HEATTECH ultra warm crew neck t-shirt, which Uniqlo says is approximately 2.25 times warmer than regular HEATTECH. The EZY wide straight jeans bring the focus back to denim, this time in a relaxed, wide-leg cut.

“Jeans I can actually wear all day! Stylish on the outside, comfy like sweats on the inside,” she says.

Curtis also makes a convincing case for keeping the basics in rotation. Her selections include a pocketable UV protection parka, cotton easy shorts, high rise wide jeans, and an AIRism UV protection full-zip hoodie. But it is the humble T-shirt that gets a special mention. Speaking about the Uniqlo U crew neck t-shirt, she says: “If you’re a basic tee girl like me, this is definitely what you should have in your closet.”

Emilio Daez: A case for keeping it simple

Daez’s selections are rooted in classic menswear, with an emphasis on fit, function, and pieces that work together without much styling. A harrington jacket over an AIRism cotton crew neck t-shirt, paired with EZY jeans, is a straightforward combination. The jacket gives the look definition; the T-shirt and denim keep it relaxed.

“Between shoots, events, and days on the go, comfort makes all the difference,” he says of the AIRism cotton t-shirt. Its cotton-like appearance, smooth feel, and quick-drying fabric make it an easy choice as a standalone top or a base layer.

A flannel shirt layered over a crew-neck tee is another familiar combination. Daez’s version pairs a checked flannel long sleeve shirt with a crew neck short sleeve t-shirt and EZY jeans. The pattern gives the outfit its visual interest, while the uncomplicated pieces underneath keep it from looking overworked.

“Simple, easy, and good enough to wear on its own,” he says.

For a more relaxed silhouette, Daez turns to a fleece full-zip jacket, a boxy cropped t-shirt, and stretch easy shorts denim. The shorter, wider shape of the tee changes the proportions, while the fleece jacket adds a layer of warmth. It is casual dressing with a little more attention paid to shape.

“My go-to when I want an extra layer of warmth that still looks good with the rest of my outfit,” he says.

His other choices move between smart-casual and activewear. An AIRism cotton pique short sleeve polo shirt gives a familiar polo a more breathable feel, while stretch easy ankle pants keep the silhouette clean. A washable Milano ribbed crew neck sweater offers a more refined knit option. For days that involve more movement, the DRY-EX UV protection hoodie and ultra stretch active tapered pants bring quick-drying fabric, UV protection, and flexibility into the mix.

When the weather turns cooler, Emilio’s lineup includes a PUFFTECH parka, a HEATTECH ultra warm crew neck t-shirt, and an Oxford oversized long sleeve shirt. Barrel pants add another shape to his otherwise classic rotation.

Curtis’s outfits have a more polished finish, while Daez’s are built around the ease of classic menswear. Look closely, though, and the wardrobes share a few constants: a dependable T-shirt, denim with a comfortable fit, and outerwear that can be thrown over just about anything. The difference is in how they put those pieces together. Curtis plays with shape and layering; Daez keeps the lines relaxed and the combinations uncomplicated.

For Fall/Winter 2026, their Uniqlo selections are less about chasing a new look than knowing which pieces deserve a place in the regular rotation.
