Thai stars Perth, Santa open up about confidence, career growth, future projects

MANILA – Thai actors Tanapon “Perth” Sukumpantanasan and Pongsapak “Santa” Oudompoch opened up about inspiring each other to grow and gain confidence as performers and shared what fans can expect from their upcoming projects during their recent visit to Manila.

The two stars attended the October 31 celebration of the Philippine launch of Ralph’s Club New York Eau de Parfum by luxury brand Ralph Lauren.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Perth and Santa discussed how their partnership has helped them build confidence and explore new opportunities in their respective careers, a theme that is highlighted in the event.

“For me, having someone I can trust, like P’Perth, who always supports and encourages me, means a lot,” Santa said.

Perth, meanwhile, shared that Santa has encouraged him to step outside his comfort zone, particularly in exploring his interests as a performer.

The actor recalled being shy and uncomfortable with dancing despite having always wanted to pursue it.

“Ever since Santa came into my life, things have changed. I feel like he’s a partner who brings out the best in me. He inspires me to grow and become a better version of myself,” Perth said.

Perth also expressed hopes of sharing a bigger stage with Santa next year, adding that they are preparing for more opportunities to perform together.

Meanwhile, the two actors are gearing up for their upcoming series, “Heartbound The Series,” which they said they are looking forward to filming.

“I believe there are many exciting projects waiting for us in the future. I’m motivated to keep improving myself, especially with so many new opportunities coming my way. I feel ready, and I’m truly happy to be on this journey,” said Perth.

He added that he wants to give his best performance in the upcoming series, a sentiment echoed by Santa, who also expressed excitement about the project and his eagerness to deliver for their fans.

Known for their roles in the popular Thai boys’ love series “Perfect 10 Liners,” which aired in 2024, the two stars also thanked their Filipino supporters for their continued support and for always welcoming them with great energy during their Manila appearances, following their tour with the cast back in 2025.

“Thank you for supporting us for many years… I’m very happy to see you, guys,” Perth said.

“We love you, guys, so much, and hope to see you in Manila again,” Santa added.

Perth currently stars in the Thai adaptation of the Chinese novel “Scarlet Heart,” titled “Scarlet Heart Ullavee,” which was also adapted into the popular South Korean series “Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo,” while Santa is set to take the stage with his fellow JASP.ER band members for a concert in Thailand this December.
