MANILA — Australian home and lifestyle retailer Anko on Friday said it will expand its Philippine presence from six to nine stores by December, opening its first locations outside Metro Manila in Laguna and Cavite.

The retailer will open a store at Ayala Malls Nuvali in Laguna on November 12, followed by another at Ayala Malls Evo City in Cavite on November 27. A third location at Festival Mall in Muntinlupa is scheduled to open on December 10.

The three new stores will bring Anko’s retail presence to more communities in Southern Luzon as the company continues to expand its Philippine operations, which began in November 2024.

Anko currently operates stores at Glorietta 2, Alabang Town Center, TriNoma, Ayala Malls Feliz, Ayala Malls Manila Bay and Gateway Mall in Cubao.

The retailer offers home and lifestyle products, including scented candles, children’s toys, kitchen tools and appliances, beauty and personal care items, and home organization products.

Anko follows an everyday low-price strategy, designing products in-house and working directly with manufacturers to maintain its pricing throughout the year rather than relying on periodic sales and discounts.

“Over the past two years, the response from Filipino families has exceeded our expectations and confirmed that our everyday low-price, quality-driven proposition truly resonates here. Expanding from six to nine stores, including our first locations beyond Metro Manila, reflects our confidence in the market and our ambition to make Anko more accessible to customers,” said Arjun Puri, CEO of Anko Global.

The expansion also adds Festival Mall to the company’s network of retail partnerships, which includes properties managed by Ayala Land, Rockwell Land and the Araneta Group.

Anko said the new stores will also generate local employment and support communities surrounding the retail locations.

The company plans to mark the openings by inviting customers to join Anko Club, its membership program offering access to events and workshops, product updates and other perks.
