Vic Chou stars in the Taiwanese remake of the South Korean hit series ‘Our Blues’

After delighting longtime fans when he returned to the country earlier this year for the F4 reunion tour, Taiwanese actor Vic Chou is set to make hearts flutter once again as the star of the Taiwanese remake of the hit 2022 South Korean series Our Blues. The project also reunites Vic with original Meteor Garden producer Angie Chai with whom he first collaborated 18 years ago on the unforgettable series. 

In a report by Yahoo News Malaysia earlier this month, the 45-year-old actor shared how much he looked forward to working with Angie again. “18 years is quite a long time. In the past, I preferred and was more accustomed to having everything arranged for me. This time, however, we had many exchanges of ideas right from the initial planning meetings. I believe Angie has seen my thoughts and convictions when it comes to my path as an actor,” he shared.

The Our Blues series producer also shared her insight on how much Vic has grown as an artist since first working with him in 2001.

“This is completely different from Vic’s previous roles. This is the first time I’ve felt him stepping on the ground and becoming a local character,” she said.

Apart from working again with the producer, the upcoming drama also marks Vic’s third collaboration with actress Janine Chang after working together on the previous series like Black and White and Coming Home.

Originally aired in 2022, Our Blues starred South Korean superstars Lee Byung-hun and Shin Min-a, with the storyline revolving around the sweet and bitter lives of people at the end or beginning of life in Jeju island. The show is also considered as one of the highest-rated dramas in Korean cable television history.

Vic and F4 members Jerry Yan and Van Ness Wu gave their Pinoy fans a long-awaited reunion as they performed at the Philippine stop of the F FOREVER 1st World Tour  last June at the Philippine Arena. During the concert, Vic performed the F4-era ballad “Zui Te Bie De Cun Zai“ as well as one of his own released single, “Tell Me Why” before wrapping up his solo performance with another one of his dreamy ballads, ”Make a Wish.”
