PVL: Nxled sustains perfect run, sweeps Capital1
The Nxled Chameleons. PVL ImagesMANILA — Nxled is the first Premier Volleyball League (PVL) squad to reach five wins in the Siklab series of the All-Filipino Conference.
The Chameleons blanked Capital1, 25-13, 25-20, 25-18, to sit on top of the standings with a 5-0 win-loss card, Saturday at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
They outperformed the Solar Spikers in all scoring aspects — 10-0 output in blocks, 46-36 in attacks, 4-1 in aces — to finish the match in just one hour and 29 minutes.
Although Brooke Van Sickle was the lone double-digit scorer with 13 points, the squad had a lot of help from the second unit.
Second in scoring was MJ Phillips, who added nine markers including three blocks, while Jackie Acuña had seven and three rejections on the net.
Meanwhile, it was a dismal campaign so far for Capital1, losing three in a row.
Bella Belen was held to five points, while it was Erika Santos who led with 12 points, as Vanie Gandler totalled seven.
