Morissette and Laurence Mossman in ‘The Notebook, The Musical.’ Jyllan Bitalac/Theatre Group AsiaMANILA — Theatre Group Asia (TGA) will bring back “The Notebook, The Musical” for an 18-show run from February 4 to 21, 2027, at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater.
Directed by Nicholas Polonio, the musical will feature the return of its principal cast, including Celeste Legaspi as Older Allie, Morissette as Middle Allie and Sheena Belarmino as Younger Allie. Rody Vera, Laurence Mossman and Benedix Ramos will reprise their roles as Older, Middle and Younger Noah, respectively.
The rerun follows the production’s initial Philippine engagement, which drew sold-out performances and an enthusiastic response from audiences.
“This gives audiences another opportunity to experience the sweeping romance, unforgettable music, and deeply moving story that captivated theatergoers during its initial Philippine engagement,” said TGA executive director Chris Mohnani.
“Because of the overwhelming outpouring of requests from those who missed it, as well as those eager to relive its magic, we worked to bring our Noahs and Allies, as well as the original cast, covers, and creatives back in time for love month,” he added.
Based on Nicholas Sparks’ bestselling novel and the film adaptation, “The Notebook, The Musical” follows the love story of Allie and Noah across several decades, exploring themes of love, separation, memory and the passage of time.
The production features an original score by singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson, with songs that trace the characters’ relationship from the excitement of falling in love to the challenges of sustaining it through life’s changes.
The musical’s Philippine premiere introduced local audiences to the stage adaptation of the familiar love story, which explores the enduring connection between two people despite the passage of time and the obstacles they face.
The February engagement will have 18 performances, with evening shows at 7:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays and matinee and evening performances at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
Tickets will be available exclusively through TicketWorld starting November 16, 2026.
