Vice Ganda welcomes new batch of comedians in ‘LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines’ Season 2 trailer
Prime Video Philippines has released the trailer for the second season of LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines on Wednesday, October 7.
The Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda returns as host for the new season, welcoming a fresh batch of comedians into the competition.
“The biggest comedy reality show is here! Did you miss me?” Vice said in the trailer.
He went on: “New season, new set of Philippines’ best comedians. And ‘yung pinakamahalagang batas sa programang ito, bawal ang tumawa.”
The winner of LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines will take home ₱1 million.
“Bawat galaw, bawat ngiti ay babantayan namin. At ‘yung may pinakamahusay na pagpipigil ang siyang magwawagi ng 1 million pesos,” Vice declared.
Fans were quick to react to the trailer on social media, with many expressing excitement over the lineup.
“Lakas halos lahat ng era ng komedya nasa isang kwarto,” one fan commented.
The new season brings together comedians from live performance, stand-up, television, and digital content, including Long Mejia, Epy Quizon, Candy Pangilinan, Ethel Booba, Pooh, Donna Cariaga, Chariz Solomon, Esnyr, James Caraan, and Charuth.
According to a press release by Prime Video, all 10 comedians will be locked together for six hours, using every trick in their comedy arsenal to make their fellow contestants laugh while keeping a straight face themselves.
Viewers can expect outrageous antics, spontaneous performances, and unexpected interactions as different generations of Filipino comedy go head-to-head.
As the competition intensifies, contestants must find creative ways to break their opponents without breaking themselves. Every reaction counts, and one laugh could send a contestant home as they battle to become the last comedian standing.
LOL: Last One Laughing Philippines season 2 will premiere exclusively on Prime Video on October 30 in the Philippines and across more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.
The first season aired from July 4 to 18, 2024, with Chad Kinis emerging as the winner in the finale.
