ENHYPEN gives Filipino fans a night to remember
MANILA — K-pop group ENHYPEN gave their Filipino fans a night to remember during “Endless Dunkin’ | ENHYPEN Fun Meet,” at the SM Mall of Asia Arena last Saturday, October 3, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
The sold-out event, presented by Dunkin’ Philippines, went beyond the usual fan meet, with elaborate production and a concert-like scale.
The show delivered a visually stunning spectacle with LED screens, lighting, stage effects, and production elements amplified every appearance of ENHYPEN.
HandoutWhat made the fan meet more unique was ENDLESS’ introduction of a first-of-its-kind element for the event: 3D glasses that allowed fans to experience the show’s opening sequence from an entirely new perspective.
As the introduction unfolded, the 3D visuals brought ENHYPEN’s entrance closer to the audience, transforming the opening from something fans simply watched into an immersive experience. The use of 3D technology became one of the evening’s standout surprises, adding an interactive element to the production.
ENHYPEN performed four songs, opening with “Bloody Paradise” and “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” both performed in the Philippines for the first time, before continuing with “XO (Only If You Say Yes).” Just when fans thought the performance had ended, ENHYPEN returned for a surprise encore of “SHOUT OUT.”
The unexpected encore became one of the evening’s emotional highlights as the members encouraged ENGENEs to stand and sing along. Soon, the entire venue was on its feet, with fans joining ENHYPEN as they sang the song’s powerful closing moments.
HandoutBeyond the production, “ENDLESS” focused on the connection between ENHYPEN and their Filipino fans through a mix of music, games and Filipino-themed activities.
The members took part in challenges featuring budots, tinikling and the Filipino “nguso” gesture, drawing enthusiastic reactions from ENGENEs. Their candid interactions with the audience also gave fans opportunities to see the group’s playful side as they embraced the activities.
The Filipino connection reached another highlight when Jake revived a familiar phrase from ENHYPEN’s previous visit to the Philippines.
During their last “DUNKIN’ | ENHYPEN Fun Meet,” Jake’s “Take Me Home” line inspired Dunkin’ Philippines’ “Take Me Home” campaign. This time, he turned the phrase around with a playful “I-uwi mo ako,” drawing an enthusiastic reaction from the audience.
The callback gave Filipino ENGENEs another memorable moment with Jake, who has become known for his playful interactions with the group’s Filipino fans.
