Baby Dolls talk about their dream-come-true interview and ‘delulu’ crush confessions on “GGV”

Dreams really do come true. The Showtime Baby Dolls have proven that as they live their best lives, with 2026 becoming their major breakthrough year. And their latest ‘OMG’ moment was getting to sit down with Vice Ganda for an episode of “Gandang Gabi Vice.”

ABS-CBN Studios chatted with Arianne, Chole, Eriel, Ina, Jelai, Juby, and Johaira pre- and post-taping to find out what was going through their minds before and after “GGV.”

As excited as they were to finally make their “GGV” debut, the Baby Dolls couldn’t hide the jitters, knowing Meme Vice would throw them juicy questions. “Kinakabahan po kasi parang ito na ‘yung ano eh, expect the unexpected,” said Ina. But they were thrilled, or maybe a little worried too, about behind-the-scenes secrets they might spill, such as their off-cam ‘fights’ and how they managed to work their problems out.

One thing for sure, they knew there’d be tons of laughter and ‘bardagulan.’ They also looked forward to hearing inspiring words and advice from Meme Vice and hoped viewers would get to see them beyond their performances. While Johaira expected the interview to be just as entertaining as their appearances on “It’s Showtime,” she was particularly excited for viewers to hear their individual life stories.

The girls actually manifested this moment! When they heard news of the “GGV” comeback, they hoped they’d be invited on the show, especially since they had just released their song “Meme” at the time.

And they’re all huge “GGV” fans. “Bata pa lang ako nanonood ako, gabing-gabing na tapos sasabihin ko, ‘Ma, gusto ko manood ng GGV.’ Tapos ngayon nandito na,” Eriel mused.

Since they’re big fans, we asked them their favorite “GGV” episodes. For Juby, it was JM Ibarra and Fyang Smith’s guesting, particularly the part where Fyang opened up about an alleged unpleasant experience with a director. Meanwhile, Johaira and Ariane both picked the current season’s pilot episode where we all witnessed a more candid side of Alden Richards.

But not all memorable “GGV” moments are funny, at least not for Eriel, who remembers Jodi Sta. Maria’s guesting, during which the actress pranked Meme Vice with a creepy doll. “Takot din kasi ako sa dolls,” she shared.

And just like that, the Baby Dolls officially survived their first “GGV” hot seat! Asked to sum it all up in one word, the girls gave us “crazy,” “nakakawindang,” “sorpresa,” “extreme,” and “fun.”

Among the biggest highlights of their guesting was Juby’s revelation during the “Deep Truth” segment, which earned her the title “Face of the Night” from her fellow Baby Dolls. The girls also couldn’t stop giggling about their crush confessions. But before anyone takes their ‘kilig’ too seriously, Eriel had a little disclaimer, saying they were just being ‘delulu‘ and they didn’t mean anything bad. “Para lang kaming kayo sa mga crush niyo, nangangarap lang po kami,” she explained.

Thanks to the interview, the girls also learned something about themselves as a group. They realized that they could go through a whole roller coaster of emotions together and that they’ve reached a point in their friendship where they can now laugh about past misunderstandings.
